Does this still drop? because im starting to think it doesn’t, i have been farming it in normal AND heroic every week with 3 different shamans, for more than a year now.

Im yet to see it drop, and im starting to become 100% hopeless of it and about to give up on the trouble of having to do this every week.

All the information i find is vague, some people say you have the chance of dropping in every difficulty (aside from LFR) others say it’s 1 chance across norm/heroic and mythic.

Has anyone dropped it recently?
EDIT, IT DROPS AND I FINALLY GOT IT AFTER 4 YEARS!

That is how it feels once you’ve been at it for a while, it took me 75 attempts on each difficulty to get the drops.

Do you remember if you got it on your first try in the week? or you ran it in normal didn’t get it, then switched difficulties and it dropped, also when did you got it.

Because i have this weird feeling that it drops the same way the Argus trinket dropped.

And dude, you’re “lucky” i have more than 100 tries across all my 3 shamans.

I actually got it from my first run of the week from memory, but I don’t think that matters. It’s seperate for heroic and normal. Sounds like you’re having really bad luck tbh.

Quite literally the best armour set in the game outside of Paladin challenge mode gear. Unfortunately super rare, but totally worth it.

Someone actually commented last month about it on Wowhead mentioning a GM all but confirmed that it is still available to be obtained as a drop, and that it should be able to be obtained during either difficulty lockouts each week.

People are also saying you can do normal, heroic, and mythic for 3 chances weekly. Not sure how correct that is though.

It’s not correct, you can do two attempts each week, but not three. It’s been a while so I don’t remember but either normal and heroic or heroic and mythic count as one difficulty.

I’m pretty sure you get one normal and one heroic/mythic run because they equate to flex which was separate and then normal/heroic.

I thought about running mythic as well.

I did normal/mythic just because from my experience it’s easier to find groups for mythic and you get a shot at the mount.

If you did mythic statistically you should have gotten the mount by now.

I have the shamans lockout saved on my DK in normal/heroic, i go straight for them every week.

I don’t care about the mount, just the set.

I got it 2 weeks ago. It was my 7th attempt overall. I was running it on all 3 difficulties (normal, heroic, and mythic), but I read some Wowhead comments that you only get 1 roll per week. Similar loot lockout to the balance of power shards from Nighthold or Emerald Nightmare. You can only get shards once per week, per boss, so there is no benefit for multiple attempts on other difficulties.

After reading that, I just started doing it on Normal to speed up the run. I don’t know it to be factual, but I don’t think there is a benefit to multiple difficulty clears each week. I suggest 1 normal clear per week until you get it. The armor cache drops to your bags automatically, and isn’t looted from the boss.

Just stick with it. It definitely still drops. RNG can definitely suck sometimes though. It took me 29 Ragnaros kills (full MC clear) to get that damn flametongue weapon enchant illusion.

To clarify. Yes this does still drop. You only have 1 chance per week on all difficulties, so no need to run it multiple times a week. And the drop chance is around 1 to 2%. This was clarified in a ticket a wowhead user got from blizzard that he uploaded a while back. On my phone and to lazy to get the link.

It’s in the comments. I guess it was actually confirmed on Twitter by a Dev. A lot of the comments are old with wrong info but the answer is in there. Also it’s mentioned but don’t let other shaman running it bully you out of the group “cuz competition” each shaman has their own chance, it isn’t a shared drop, it’s push loot. Can’t tell you how many glue eaters I had to explain that to back when I farmed it.

Damn, sounds like my luck is just cheeks.
Every time i go in i expect not to drop it and i’m still disappointed.

For those who are still wondering, I got confirmation from a GM today about if this is just a once a week drop regardless of difficulty, or if you get a chance per difficulty:

“As long as you are eligible for loot from the boss you should have a chance to loot this as a Shaman.”

Good luck to those who are still trying to get this set. I’m still working on getting it…

That is the comment. Do you only get loot once no matter the difficulty?

Indeed, i think you only have one chance across all difficulties.

If you really REALLY want it, setup 5 Shamans to multibox and run it. I got it after about 3 months of one run per week, 5 shamans
