I thought I saw somewhere that knowledge points had some other use when you completed assigning them to a particular profession. Do they have a use?
I also want to know this.
I’ll take em
That’s actually a pretty cool idea.
Use your knowledge points and some materials to make a manual you can sell.
I would love to be able to allocate these to your secondary profession or send them to an alt.
In Dragonflight, there was a vendor you trade KP for Artisan’s Mettle. As far as I know, there is no vendor like that in TWW. I wish they would put one in though, because if we could trade KP for Artisan’s Acuity, then we could by raw mats in Dornagal.
The problem is for gathering proffs. AA is useless to a herbalist/miner. If they had made the crafting tools something that could be made by a gathering proff, that would have at least been something you could use the AA for. Sadly as it is now it just mounts up in a currency list you apparently can’t currently use.
That lack of design smarts is sad.
each knowledge point still generates AA after you cap the professions - AA can be used to buy resource bags
Which aren’t worth anything anymore anyway.
you can buy resources with AA from the vendor
they were at the start of the patch - even now I think you still get a fair bit of gold for R3 bismuth
While additional Knowledge Points may not have any bearing on the rest of the expansion.
I think it may be safe to assume that Artisans Acuity will play a role.
Whether its profession based recipes in seasons 3 / future content patches.
Possibly a new addition of Artisans Acuity for Mog/Pets/Mounts.
You might be wasting your time actively pursuing post 100% Knowledge Points.
You may not.
Time shall tell.
AA is still useful for crafters in that it is used to make things, especially stuff like profession tools. Its more experience points that my question is about. I don’t want to use up my AA just to buy resources which I can presumably earn in other ways.
you were complaining they were useless for double gatherers
I’d totally be into this - i reckon it’s a good idea for professions we cap.
