Simply put if you open the vendor screen (from your respective renown proff book seller) and buy the knowledge book you can keep buying what should be a one time item as long as you have the currency to continue to buy it. No you are not able to do this if you have already purchased and used the book one time and left the vendor (IE as it was intended)
This is resulting in people acquiring hundreds of knowledge points near immediately and is allowing a complete run on crafts and devalues the market and also penalizes those that have been using the system as intended.
This is completely egregious and should be reset/rolled back/ OR awarded to everyone to make the market fair again. Either way this is not acceptable to not only have been shown to be in the beta but to make it into retail yet again.
Blizz I understand there are a bajillion things to manage and take care of right now with the release but please please Fix this.

This KP has broken the economy. It’s insane, this needs to be fixed, rolled back and banned anyone who took advantage. The entire expansion is cooked if this isn’t aggressively resolved

I would say that’s such an obvious exploit that if they did it they should be straight up banned. I can see accidentally doing it once, but you know what you’re doing if you have that currency built up and did it multiple times

Once again, great expansion launch but exploit to professions makes me wish we had the old system back — this is the third time in a row something with professions happened and they refuse to take action. If you don’t want to take this seriously then you shouldn’t have made it into a sweaty pillar to engage with.

So I was right in thinking you could buy it again, when I bought the book it was still there but didn’t have the currency to do it again but after checking when I had the currency it was gone, so yeah hopefully blizzard does something if not then well that’s pretty normal of them too.

This is similar to a bug for things like the Alchemy Cauldron for learning new recipes. When you purchase the recipe, its still available as if you could buy it again. Only when leaving and coming back does it update to only show recipes you don’t already know.
So there is a bug in their refreshing of purchases. Whether that’s based entirely on the Moxie currencies or just any vending/learning I’m not sure.

Nothing obviously, but its still worth mentioning so blizzard can address it if its not intended.
But far as gameplay wise sure its nice everyone has what they need but now there’s a severely dampened economy so gold is down the drain as well for those who like funding their sub with tokens etc.
Given I have like 16 tailors and haven’t bought the books on like half of them, I could probably spam the hell out of one of them right now.
I strongly feel that I should not do this, but the posts in the thread re: past experience are telling me that I’m probably selling myself short in doing this. It’s not a great feeling.

All the books show Unique in-game. Is there some kind of trick? Wowhead isn’t showing that they weren’t unique before.
Edit: Of course, if this is real, then yeah, it’s really bad. Chances are, it’ll be quietly fixed, exploiters will/might catch a ban, and the world will continue spinning.

According to Kaychak (the profession guru on youtube), the devs do know about this and do consider it an exploit. Considering how obvious it will be who did it, I think bans will be going out soon and you’ll be glad you skipped this one.

Fun fact this works for a lot of other things than just knowledge. There is a toy on TWW storm island area that sells toys that you can sell on AH as long as you never claim/learn the toy. They were selling for 100k each early on. This bug exists for other items as well.

Can also achieve the same thing by switching races over and over and getting fresh work orders. That’s been in the game since last expansion. No bans or roll backs for that.
Blizz won’t fix it, remember to exploit early and often.

These bugs need to be fixed! How is it possible I paid for my 3 days in advance, and for 3 days the game was buggy? I couldn’t even play Abundance because it was always bugged! And the economy was strangely broken from the very first days?! What’s the reason for bugs like these? I won’t ask for compensation because it’s a lost cause; they never offer any compensation when this happens. But at least fix this bug that literally wrecked the entire market economy in a day! It’s insane, and I can’t progress much because of this. The people who did this are days ahead of me. God. I hope you fix this because if you don’t, I’m quitting the game. This bug is truly sad and regrettable, and for Blizzard not to fix it is madness! IF YOU STILL LOVE THE PLAYERS, TRY FIXING THESE FAILURES FIRST. GOOD NIGHT.
