Split personality should not trigger the stun if you get knocked into it, How many runs have been lost because one has been knocked back into a stun chain which starts from split personality?
The idea is once it happens once to you, you take preventive measures so that it doesn’t happen again. Some like to call it “learning from your mistakes”, instead of wanting the entire mechanic changed.
Coughs in giant bugs and that one guy who can throw you both in orgrimmar
You can’t prevent a forced knockback
Coughs in waiting for split personality to spawn, and then pulling the bugs after
coughs in it spawns anyway mid fight
Coughs in do more dps then, it’s not changing
Hands everyone a cough drop.
Stun the big bug, make sure you are facing the right way, take out little bugs to mitigate headbutt, get knocked back a tiny bit or just finish off the big guy.
and what about the elite on the otherside, voidcrazed hulk
Copy paste from Icy-Veins:
The Voidcrazed Hulk poses no threat whatsoever, as long as you move out of the Explosive Leap, which will cause guaranteed Sanity drain on the first attack. Make sure to move out of the second attack, where the Hulk leaps towards you, to avoid further Sanity drain. For melee players, the second ability
Howling in Pain does nothing, but for casters, you should stop casting when he uses this to avoid being spell-locked.
Full guide:
Explosive leap is easy to dodge sure, unless you know, you get thrown through split personality
I know it’s rough my friend, all I can do is offer the advice I have on hand.
I struggle, I’m part person, part potato and it can be almost rage inducing when random stuff breaks my flow and I have to scramble, which ultimately leads to me dying.
Splits can go rot, so tired of them, some people don’t have an issue with it, I wish I was one of them.
This is a non-issue. Visions are fine now, they’re extremely easy if you just pay attention.
Thank’s for your in depth response! Much will be learnt from this for generations to come!
/hugs
No prob, remember if at any time you feel it’s too hard, you can take off a mask. If you’re still struggling to do no-mask visions, I would suggest probably reading some guides on Noxxic or something to improve general play.
Some classes like DK have abilities like ams to help mitigate this, but most of the time it is just about anticipating. Worst case scenario if the bug or big orc look like their knockback is going to overlap split personality you can typically pop a defensive and ride it out.
That’s the absolute worst case though, all you need is like 2 seconds to find the opening. The bugs can also be stunned if I am not mistaken.
Lastly, moar dps. The faster they die the fewer chances rng gets to hose you.
Rexxar’s boars have a slight knockback which have gotten me dazed by split personality. That hurts at 5 masks.
I’m getting ready to try this vision stuff on a Disc priest. It should be interesting.
I wish that dazes, disorients, and fears worked like our own CC. They should break on damage. Stuns and horrifies should be the only CCs that don’t break. With the way it is now I’m just wondering what even is the difference between them.
Pretty sure priests are considered by far the hardest class to do visions with.
… Enjoy!
