I don’t think it’d be out of place in a sandbox game, but the entire quest’s premise is that you knowingly trick a Nerubian into being ambushed by his wife after he flees when he realizes she’s going to ritually murder him
Were there quests where your character does something this pointlessly evil in past expansions? You don’t even get an option to not aid in religious spousal murder besides simply abandoning the quest
It’s okey because the victim is male.

Yeah but then don’t we turn around the kill the wife too?
So all in all, that’s two dead Nerubians. I’ll be sleeping peacefully.
Lol if you think that is evil, go do the Hillsbrad quests and bring a shovel. This is nowhere near the worse thing the player has done for cash.

You’re just imposing your surfacer culture on the innocent nerubians.

To be fair, we do fix everything in the end, we kill the ones who were breaking laws we didn’t know or care about, we laugh at a blood elf and their still-dead sparklepony, all is as it should be.
But the point is that we don’t know that - he never explains why he ran off right after his wedding (or why he married her in the first place). He just says “my wife is going to kill me”, which is…you know…not usually interpreted literally. He has us look out for guards but never mentions avoiding his wife as well.
