It was always a misinformed debate though. It is true a lot of people believed it wasnāt BiS back then but thatās a belief that literally depended on not looking at the tooltips. Thoridal DPS > Golden Bow DPS + Timeless Arrow DPS. Whatās not so obvious is how Steady Shot worked with ammo (or, rather, didnāt) but that skews it even more in Thoriādalās favour.

Also there were probably dishonest Rogues/Warriors intentionally spreading misinformation so as to increase their chances of getting it. The first person I heard the rumour from back in 2008 was a Warrior who convinced his entire raiding guild that it was bad for Hunters. Luckily it never dropped for them 
Its because the misinformation about how steady shot works.
Tldr its 200-300 dps increase for a hunter over Golden bow(2nd best bow behind Thoridal).

Heās questioning his entire existence.

Heās only taking overall into account and his phase 5 parses on phase 2 content.
He canāt look at when it was current tier in those phases because I destroy him on parses when the content was all current.
He has to rely on his raid team with full sunwell gear going back to cheese old content.
He a clown.

Good lord this thread derailed fast lmao.
Also arms warrior is stronger than surv hunter across most if not all parse brackets on KJ so its not really impressive to boast about higher damage numbers especially when the only kill is a prog kill. Most recent Cow kill was a 39, very impressive performance.

Tbh I donāt think heās really this dumb I think he knows heās lost every single phase to me so heās just trying to save face somehow no matter how dumb it sounds.
KJ is a melee fight for sure.
His 39 parse you brought up is more dps than my 51 parse but heās purposely ignoring that and just going for DPS numbers.
He knows he was washed every phase.

Itās not a legendary bow, but I got the healing mace off twins yesterday. That was pretty neatoā¦ nice stupidly large block of 600ish bonus healing in a single slot is crazy.
