Kingsmourne 9.2?

What do you guys think are the chances since hunters got sylvanas bow, dk’s or even warriors and pally will get kingsmourne?

Ik it’s ambitious considering we didn’t even get remornia, but I can’t see Anduin keeping kingsmourne unless they cleanse it.

Probably pretty low since we’re likely going to utterly destroy Kingsmourne in order to free Anduin from Zovaal’s Domination magic.

I don’t see it. Her bow is just a bow, but mourneblades are incredibly dangerous and evil weapons. Lorewise if we picked up that sword we’d become enslaved just like Anduin.

I think we’ll probably just either purify it for Anduin or destroy it so it’s never a problem again.

Hello what about druids you selfish person always thinking about yourself !!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hunter weapon?

Good point, however, how many DKs, Warriors, and Paladins acquired Shadowmourne during WoTlK?

It’s not that dangerous at this point…

it’s not too late, presumably we’re going to kill denny again.

we’re special snowflake maw walkers, the jailer can’t control us!

Mm Shadowmourne is an iffy thing. For one we don’t know who actually has it or what happened to it. There obviously aren’t thousands of them floating around. It’s likely in canon our characters never wielded it. Some story NPC probably did. Legendary items are a grey area in the story, regardless of what we do in game.

But Shadowmourne is also different. It is an evil weapon and strong too, we didn’t craft that from rainbows and friendship, but it was made on Azeroth. It’s just a runeblade built from saronite and a variety of dark enhancements. I would say it’s weaker than Frostmourne and more just a valiant but lesser attempt at a copy.

True mourneblades are Frostmourne and Kingsmourne and those were made in the Maw imbued with high level Domination magic. The Ebon Blade can’t recreate that. So Kings is still a bad idea for us to pick up and use.

The linchpin in all of this is that we are allied with The Primus, the one capable of crafting Mourneblades. I have a sneaky suspicion we may not be able to wield Kingsmourne specifically, however we could always end up on another quest chain to assist The Primus in crafting a Mourneblade we can use.

I believe Kingsmourne is an altered version of Shalamayne. I highly doubt Anduin will die in his encounter and whatever we discover in Zereth Mortis will give us the key to freeing him, aka, he’ll be freed and the blue stone used to forge the blade likely destroyed. Shalamayne will probably return to its original state, so Anduin will go on wielding it. If we fight the Jailer however, I imagine he’ll have his very own Mourneblade to face us with so we’ll probably get his as a legendary drop. At least, that’s what my current theory shall be.
