The Boss Fights against the 13 Darknesses were quite interesting considering all the new moves each of them used but in the case of Ansem didn’t use before his death in KH1.
Ansem Seeker of Darkness AKA Xehanort’s Heartless’s launching his darkness into Aqua and turning her into a Xehanort incarnation called Anti-Aqua was an interesting sight as well.
Seeing Terra-Xehanort being betrayed by Ansem’s Guardian Heartless(who turns out to be Terra) is epic as well.
Roxas, Xion and Namine getting perfect Replica Bodies as a result of Vexen and the first Riku Replica’s redemptions is interesting as well.
Xemnas was given a sad send-off alongside Ansem Seeker of Darkness where Xemnas felt his first emotion in his entire existence only for it to be loneliness.
Xehanort’s Heartless Ansem Seeker of Darkness mentioned that he felt the urge to leave the path he took only for the betrayals(starting with Eraqus’s and the real Ansem’s) to come in which made everything not matter to him anymore.
We also learn Master Xehanort’s real goal after beating him: Apparently he lied about wanting more Darkness to balance out the Light when infact it was the other way round: He wanted to use the Keyblade War to reset the Universe with him as the ruler to make certain that people’s Hearts don’t create new Darkness to upset the balance between Primordial Darkness and the Light of the World.
Xehanort is ultimately just more dangerous version of Eraqus the Light-extremist. The only difference seems to be that he was more willing to use Darkness to get rid of Darkness. I have no doubt that the urge to turn from his path that his Heartless mentioned resulted from the Darkness’s influence on him which was undone by Eraqus raising a Keyblade against him.
