[King Bangalash] Missing the [Cobra Reflexes] Passive Ability

NPC [King Bangalash] is missing the [Cobra Reflexes] passive ability, which was present in the initial release. This was/is essential for the balance of PvE hunters and I believe is missing due to a bug, rather than having been deliberately removed. (That being said, I could also understand removing it for the release of Classic to mitigate every hunter camping a quest-mob. With his respawn as it is, I don’t see this being a major problem. There’s never a line to kill him, as most people need to group.)

I’ve seen a few posts regarding this, though no blue feedback. I’d really like to see this fixed in the next patch.

I tamed him at 43, saw he didn’t have cobra reflexes and abandoned him.

Apparently cobra reflexes was still there until 2.1 when it became available to all pets in the great Hunter pet patch of bc…

Except in classic though, where no changes means a whole lot of changes except artificial lag

Pretty sure Cobra reflexes is a TBC thing.

Nope, it was made available for all pets in TBC. It was a KB exclusive passive until then. Take a look at the old WoWHead comments.

All the comments are from tbc. Still doubt it was in actual classic as it isnt even listed on petopia from back then. I know that cobra reflexes was on “vanilla” pservers but thats because the client was just a backported tbc client.

Here is what Petopia has to say about it:

" Knows: Claw 6, Dash 2 when tamed.
Attack speed: 1.4
Cobra Reflexes is a passive skill that is not available at the pet trainer. As a passive, it does not appear that the hunter can learn this skill to pass it on to another pet, and if you untrain King B he will lose it. These things seem to indicate that the skill as it occurs here is a bug. Cobra Refelxes doesn’t show up on the pet bar because it is a passive skill, but you can find it in the pet’s spellbook. The description for this skill is: Cobra Reflexes (Rank 1): Attack speed increased by 30%, but damage done is reduced."

You left out,
“With just this skill and no talents, King B’s attack speed is 1.54 (=2.0/1.3). Note that although the description says it lowers his damage, his DPS is still higher than any other cat of the same level.”
