Neither torghast nor island expeditions are dead content.
Torghast still has random drop mounts from bosses 13 and above, achievement mounts from perfect 12s and perfect 16s, mount from twisting corridors, mount from level 4 jailers gauntlet
Island expeditions still have random drop mounts (way too many for me to list) and quite lucrative transmog drops such as the one handed mace that looks like a fish.
Saying torghast is dead content is like saying Korthia is dead content. I suggest you go take a walk over to korthia and you’ll see it’s more crowded there than it is in zaralek caverns (same with Zereth Mortis - almost impossible to find a rare to kill in ZM, even in war mode).
Is there currently a brawler’s guild event? No but the arenas still exist, so it will likely be added back in the future.

Who really needs to get old stuff that was part of a challenge event years ago? Rather than ask for old things back, why not ask for new varieties? Keep creativity in the game, rather than dragging in earlier things for no obvious purpose. The only one that people seem anxious about is the original Druid Bear from from the Mage Tower - they gave us a new bear from from that, is that not not satisfactory?
When something is available to everyone, it stops being unique. I vote for less homogenisation and more creative design.

I personally want new challenges. Every expac should have optional challenge modes for cosmetics. But, it’s their decision to bring back the artifact appearances or not.
They bring it back: Whoop-ti-do they brought it back, I’ll go get the ones I missed.
They stay gone? Oh well, them’s the breaks. Sometimes you miss out on things.

because the items are listed in the transmog tab and some people like to collect stuff, some people get really crazy when they can’t collect some things. I’m not saying they’d research everything before playing because hey I know better I’m just saying people do stupid stuff when they see something they can’t get like the auction house mount people keep camping mailboxes with

You must not be aware of the current trading post redesign that forces FOMO by listing more items than is possible to buy without spending money in the cash shop. Blizzard is full steam FOMO with no signs of stopping.
They have more variety than any other class, by far? They have so many forms, all of which have many different options for how they look.
Sure, I am game for it. Especially since the challenges as they are now are more difficult than when it was current.
Bring the apperances back.
Blizzards actually confirmed the items will rotate back in once they leave the shop, and we have already seen proof of this with the flail coming back after it left the 1st time.

If you want one thing you can freeze it. There are now far more than one thing you can purchase a month and freezing an item puts you one more item behind for the following month.

Also, the artifact weapons were originally spec-locked appearances. Much later, they were made class-wide if you equip the right weapon type.

I concur. If the class-wide intention was articulated before the original artifacts were removed, I might have bothered going after the Prot Warrior flails. I’m not a tank though so it didn’t make sense to bother with them, but then the spec restriction was lifted in BFA and I headdesked pretty hard

Maybe some people sincerely like the artifact weapon appearances without deriving any sense of personal validation from them.
I use the purple sparkle kitty form, for example, because I like it. How is was earned has no bearing on my appreciation of it. I wouldn’t care if it were made baseline, even. Let new and returning players enjoy it.

The restrictions being lifted was a good thing, but knowing in advance would have helped people feel the urge to push for more towers, or better prioritize which towers to go after first if they were limited on time.
For example, Druids in any spec can now use the special bear and kitty forms, and popularly used weapon types such as Staves and Two-Handed Swords allow many specs to share appearances with each other now.
Some of the Zereth Mortis rares in the Dune area do sometimes drop glowy flail appearances, but they might not have the look you are going for, and apparently it is hard to spawn them now that the zone is empty.
