yeah all removing things from the game after a period of time does is punish the new players who’ll never get a chance at the skins. This in turn could be a factor that turns some players away from the game entirely and that’s not a good idea when they’re trying to rebuild their sub count after Shadowlands
Show me the numbers. Show me how the population dropped after the feldrake “slap in the face”
I call it Tren Bear!
see trenbolone acetate
This makes no sense.
Why would something a new player doesn’t know existed turn them away from WoW? Are you saying a new player will research all cosmetics in the game before they play? In what world?
If I wanted to start playing something like, I dunno, GW2, I wouldn’t even know where to look for cosmetics but I should consider what I can’t get before I play? If the game is fun, I’m not going to care because I don’t need every toy in the toybox.
How about awarding an artifact ensemble for completing the 36-spec FoS?
I disagree with it. I think its very tough to recapture the difficulty and telling players this would be sunsetted after patch 7.3.5 forced a ton of folks to play like mad. It would be pretty messed up to those who put in the effort.
Trust me there are so many mounts, mogs, etc. that I cannot get cause I’ve taken breaks. It sucks but when I see it in the game, I’m happy for that person and its cool that they have something unique. I missed the challenge modes in MoP and damn were those cool sets! I would never hope they brought them back though.
And this was one of my points.
A lot of the strats from Legion were built around specific legendaries that are now deactivated. When the MT was rereleased, people were screeching nonstop about how it’s harder now.
And I would love to see the participation numbers for it now that there’s no rush. I bet it’s really, really low because everyone loves to procrastinate.
they just need to quit being lazy and bring tons of new stuff. when they brought the mage tower back they lost a perfect oppurtunity to do so much more. i personally don’t care if they do bring back but i’m tired of hearing about bring old back i want new fun exciting things.
I agree. Kind of insane this game hasn’t had anything like the mage tower since. The quality of the expansions has been so dull since then.
they’ve had opportunities to develop torghast, brawler’s guild, and other solo challenges like MT…i hate how they just give up on this stuff
people who want fomo items to stay removed are just as small a minority in this game as people who want fomo items returned.
most likely the biggest reason these things are staying removed is because blizzard just wouldn’t profit that much from using the time/resources required to put them back in the game.
so few people actually engage with pvp for the elite sets that using time and effort to put old ones in wouldn’t increase pvp participation by a large enough margin.
in the same regard, very few people, like 6% of players, actually even engaged with challenge modes at all…
putting challenge modes back in the game would appease a very small minority and it’s just not worth it to blizzard.
As they’re bringing back mogs that people have paid for (via the Trading Post) then there’s no reason why they shouldn’t bring back those Artifact appearances.
there’s a big difference between a p2w item, and something you earned…
either way, there really isn’t lots of FOMO anymore…a brand new player, starting today, could unlock 99% of the things I own. The real thing a player misses out on is the experience - these rewards are a visual representation of those moments…so really, i think the system makes sense.
Desirability & rarity are allowed to exist in an ever changing world MMO, and i hate to say it, if you’re trying to collect every single item in the game, you’re going to be way behind unless you dedicate your life to the game…which is obviously not intended design
anyway, the people crying about this issue, is exactly why you guys aren’t getting new or compelling rewards today. You get what you deserve, so save up those tendies or get your outdated, watered down TCG item from afk’ing on twitch imo
I don’t think anyone ever considered a transmog as a play-to-win purchase.
what are you talking about??? what?
I think it’s extremely frustrating to get old crappy TCG rewards instead of something new and designed in this decade.
But whatevs, I guess.
Oh yea. Whatever happened to the brawlers guild? It kinda went poof.
not sure why tbh…they could have innovated it to be a neat end-game system…it already had the framework for progression and rewards…
it’s too bad imo…just another piece of content blizzard removed instead of expanding on
The brawler’s guild actually still exists. Blizzard never removed it, they just haven’t added new fights to it.
You can still go under the tram in SW and go to they brawler’s guild.
They had some brawlers guild stuff in BFA, maybe they’ll start it again sometime in DF
yeah they just removed all the meaningful rewards from it…so it’s just dead content. like torghast or island adventures
