Kindly return artifact appearances

What makes you say that? People love getting trophies, both in game and real life. Having a trophy doesn’t make that person selfish, immature or entitled. Giving the trophy away to everyone, whether they competed or not, cheapens the trophy.

I don’t think trophies cause a sneering playerbase. This game has limited time trophies when every thing was sunshine and rainbows and when it’s a dumpster fire. I think Blizzard not enforcing their own rules is what created a toxic environment. If you read the CS forums you can tell by the way people complain about their punishments that what they got away with 5 years ago doesn’t fly today.

What about the enjoyment of people that like to compete and don’t want to see their rewards become a Bronze Drake? They matter too.

I remember when I was totally against bringing back the FOMO items.

But most of the older player base has quit. Well it seems that way. Newer players see some of the items they cannot have and that is not cool.

I think some titles should remain locked but other than that it enhances new player experience and we need more players and they should not have FOMO. The game has been declining for a log time now and they need to hail mary. Some of this stuff might bring back or retain players. That is good for everyone.

so you’re for bringing back artifact appearances, just as long as they are not the original colors. so uhhh

arent you contradicting yourself if u say they are trophies

I don’t know how to answer your question. A recolor isn’t the exact same thing or it wouldn’t be called a recolor.

so the entire model is ok just if its red and not yellow

may as well just bring them all back then

That makes no sense.

The fel bear and werebear are distinctly different. There’s no question which one came from which era.

(why do people continue to call the furbolg skin “werebear”?)

Dude, I’m not a druid main. I’m just calling it what everyone calls it.

yeah but thats the bear

the other 34 appearances though, if they are all just different colors rereleased then may as well bring them all back

glow bear > werebear imo

Why would they do all 34? They gave druids one. They should give each class just one skin recolored. Whichever skin from the three specs is most popular.

I get that, I do.

I see this as a race or marathon. Those of us who played in Legion, finished the race and got our trophies. We got to show them off while the content was current.

(This applies to other titles, mogs, mounts, etc)

Just because people finish a race in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place doesn’t mean they call off the marathon and send all the runners home. People still get to finish.

The prize in wow, isn’t really the trophy. It’s having said trophy before everyone else.

That’s why Blizzard doesn’t remove the mythic appearances from raids after the raid becomes irrelevant. Having the mythic appearance from a raid while that tier is still relevent; that’s the true prize.

If players feel that their trophy (MT appearance, title, mount, etc) is diminished by others having the same trophy (at a way later date) after having overcome the same challenges to unlock that trophy (MT appearance, title, mount, etc) is something that requires reflection from the individual.

They’ll need to ask themselves, “Why does it bother me that others may get the same thing I did, albeit at a later date?”

Blizzard removed t3 for years before finally opening an avenue for players to get it. Later, they widened that avenue toward its acquisition. Arguably, it’s harder to acquire now than any other tier, but that’s a different matter. The point is that an avenue is there.

Should the acquisition for Mage Tower appearances be trivial content? Not a chance. But should it be barred to players who’s only offense was not being there at the time? Certainly not.

People that miss that race because of whatever reason can compete in a future race for a new trophy. That’s what I think should happen and has been happening for years.

Because then you ask yourself why you bothered. Why you didn’t wait until it was easier or why do you have to do it now when it’s harder. What’s wrong with rewarding people that participated while it was current? Blizzard got their sub and the players got their trophy. It’s a win win for both sides.

And for people that weren’t there, that will give them motivation not to miss the next event. Maybe they will have something the old player don’t have.

Tier 3 was never advertised as a seasonal reward and people could get it for 6 years after it was released. It was only missing from the game during Cata and the first part of MoP.

The content is still in the game. A cosmetic skin =/= content.

Edit: My timeline was off. I mean it was only missing during Wrath until the first part of MoP.

So it was available for 4(ish) years.

Wasn’t replying to you specifically, just in general. In this thread it goes back to the original post.

What’s funny is that, back in Legion, we used to say that you could spot the long-time bear mains (who were wearing an actual bear model skin) from the FOTM rerollers (who were all wearing the furbolg costume).

So frankly, I’m really not interested in “this is of interest to druid mains” since they haven’t been playing their druid long and won’t be playing it once they’re nerfed next tier.

My bad. I did assume since your reply was right after mine.

I think the people that are for it have FOMO

The people against it think it somehow takes away from their achievement.

TLDR: FOMO=BAD

That needs to be fixed.

“FOMO” isn’t something you can fix because it’s a personal problem.

There are some of us that are perfectly fine with not getting a thing. I’ve been perfectly fine with not getting a gladiator mount and that’s one of the oldest “FOMOs” (17 years of not getting a single mount.)

What needs to be fixed is people thinking they should get every little thing possible.

How so? FOMO is created by in game mechanics.

no it isn’t…what’s the F stand for?

it’s a personal problem :100:
