both but the latter ive not seen that people just want the cool designs. which you’re fine with, just a different color
It’s interesting to me that the side that wants the appearance back claim to be “mature” but resort to this kind of posting for no reason:
im glad you didnt include me in those posts. im a very civilized individual in my arguments
Says the person who gets some kind of enjoyment out of tell others to kick rocks when the ask for a feature. I hope you do not live in a glass house.
Quote me where I said that
I haven’t been that nasty to anyone in this thread or any other thread so yeah my glasshouse is safe.
unfortunately, you and the people on your side of the argument are the minority.
but hey, guess what? the people on the other side of the argument are the minority as well.
you wanna know why? because an overwhelmingly large majority of the wow playerbase just doesn’t care or even know about these appearances
You’re right, of course.
I just hate bullies and the gatekeeping players seem like just that.
It’s difficult for me not to stoop to their level.
I know. And they call us “childish” for not wanting something back.
People with a different opinion are not bullies and gatekeepers.
I might have missed it but who went to that level? I mean, besides you and the other two I pointed out.
i think more people who have the appearances dont care if they are brought back than those who dont want them brought back
this forum is .000001% of the population of wow
When you listen to the basis of their arguments, and how they go about expressing them, it seems like a fairly fitting moniker.
Then let me put it this way, I never said disagreements are not ok. My post was more aimed at if you have to disagree, do so civilly, I.E. try to make your arguments or disagreements known without insulting others.
It is not always the one you disagree with that you have to get through to, it is those on the fence, I, for one, would rather hear out one that is civle in their disagreements, even if they are wrong, then one who is right but is insulting others to the point where even if I agree with them I would wonder if they would be nasty to me if I disagreed with them on anything.
The minority?
Yeah OK, how many posts do you see asking for this?
and if the overwhelming majority doesn’t care then it doesn’t matter if they come back to please the people who want them back now does it.
How so?
I said I don’t think they should come back because they were a seasonal reward for completing the MT with the current talents, spells, legendaries and artifact weapons. Talents and spells have changed. Legendaries and artifact weapons have been deactivated. There’s a new class. Plus, Blizzard told us for over a year they were limited time and I think they should keep their word.
What is nasty about that, exactly?
How many of those post are the same people?
the same 5 players keep asking for this in GD. if it was truly something the community HAD to have, we’d see MANY more different names, and a movement across the entire playerbase.
stay jelly fellow nerds
Anyways, time to get this thread back on track
I think they should stay removed and kept as the limited reward from when the content was current. Not that I’m 100% against the idea, but I’m not 100% with the idea of bringing them back. If anything, should be some mock-up of weapons as cosmetic appearances might be a better idea. Something that is a little different than the originals, but not going to collide with the originals either.
I didn’t say that you’re being nasty. Never even singled you out, specifically.
You’re entitled to your opinion.
The problem here is the philosophy of barring items, mounts and appearances for an arbitrary reason of, “You should’ve been there at that time.” In a video game.
Sure, fomo motivated me to get the paladin mage tower appearances. It drove me to get the, “servant of N’zoth,” and, “Veilwalker,” titles. It made me learn to become an AH goblin to earn my brutosaur.
Is the game better for having fomo things? If so, how? The only thing I see fomo creating, is players who play the game for reasons other than enjoyment. Artificially inflating sub numbers or token purchases.
It creates a sneering playerbase that have those things and derive enjoyment from others not having access to those things.
I’m interested to hear how limited-time anything makes the game better, simply by being, “limited time.”
i had 2.8m gold at the end of legion from the board. id have had over 6m gold by the end of bfa, enough for bruto. but i spent it all on other tmogs and carries in high end content never got the brutosaur. oh well im not mad. im not big on dino mounts anyway and it couldnt fly.
