if a fishing pole with extra 10 skill & unique model will make getting LoD and Bane easier, then sure. Though, I’m not sure how exactly.

It would be pay to win technically even though the “win” would be very minor. Youd get better quality fish faster with a pole that is far superior to anything else a player can get without using real money.
