Same animation, but instead of current targeting, it pops a blade flurry, hits main target 100% and blade flurry 85% surrounding targets

doesn’t need to pop BF. BF should be a multiplier for when you pop it. like with BR.

BUT instead of the cone, they should make it a circular animation. AoE around us, instead of just a tiny baby cone in front of us. just like how Bladestorm works for warriors or other circle like aoe. it really shouldn’t be that hard to make an ability satisfying to use when it is a channel. but for new KS yeah something needs to change. cause if mobs aren’t densely stacked it feels useless in damage.

And for us PVP players it’s really bad. FIghting a BM hunter? You won’t be doing a lot of damage with KS. You also need to CC their team to get a KS off and we won’t be able to spam cheap shot in Midnight

Kspree isn’t that good in Midnight either.

I have been doing a lot of testing and honestly the energy and CPs are better spent dumping a dispatch and making sure BF is up. Spending that talent point on other cap stones like Prep, KIR, and Fast Action are all better choices. In fact Dragon Bone Dice, Acrobatic Strikes and Zero in outshine Kspree and they are all three passives. Prep and KIR have longer CDs but they provide more pop than Kspree when used.

Kspree has been nerfed to the ground and riddled with pointless restrictions that other melee DPS do not have to deal with when it comes to a finisher.

Do a comparison of Kspree vs Kingsbane vs Secret Tech and it is even more obvious how poor of a CD it is in Midnight.

Secret Tech has far more modfiers as well as Kingsbane in the same spec trees while Kspree has to rely on modifiers from the Rogue general tree.

Kspree is a waste of time. I spread the message to spare people the pain and wasting time on it.

BlizZard took Kspree 1.0 which was 50/50 if it would work and managed to make it worse with Kspree 2.0 lol.

Edit: For PVP DFA is a better finisher because of the mini immune which means you can avoid a lot of stuns, roots, etc and ability to close the gap against targets. This means you can take the reduced Blind CD instead of needing to take the reduction of Grapple CD in the main tree. Also while in the air you can avoid a lot of AoE damage from melee classes too.

E.g. you get free between the eye procs for the next few seconds.

that is just your apex talent basically. they should instead revert KS to the old version and i mean THE OLD ONE. that wasnt a finisher. whoever thought turning KS into a finisher doesn’t play this class, by a mile.

another great point into the argument that all of this “choice” isn’t really a choice after all. its weirder that we are playing specs within specs, and thus the actual base spec turns to not good.

Imo should be tied to between the eyes and not a pinnacle talent.

Some of these talent designs make no sense with what ability it is tied to. Like super charger. Sub gets 2 chargers every 20 seconds or outlaw 3min adrenaline rush. Make that make sense.

yeah, well, that’s what happens when you try to fix what isn’t broken. and ironically fixing what was broken, just makes it worse. i.e. old ks vs new ks.

and supercharger is just the leftovers of a BAD system design choice, and then eventually reworked but still bad. its safe to say there really is no logic, I bet an AI prompt could make a better option of talents to choose from at this point. or maybe that is how we got here in the first place.

i mean crackshot was always fine, when more people realize aces became “Crackshot with rng” theyre either going to be fine with it cause “its not tied to stealth” or hate it more than crackshot.

i also dont think theres anything wrong with killing spree in pve either.

old old old ks was only pressed when you needed energy except for that one weird patch in shadowlands when master assassin was the togo legenday. which granted, is a sad state to have the ability in.

The only thing KS needs is priority on main target; just make it blade flurry (blade flurry does not procc off KS currently) the aoe cap.

Yeah the devs made that into an Apex which was the correct choice.

That is correct and I think it seems to work as the Apex feed Dispatch and BTE as they are your 1 -2 combo finishers.

Super charger was originally designed to work with Assassination and Outlaw because of how it used to work but now Sub does benefit the most from it.
