Killing Questgivers

Something I used to do back in the day, was that I would go to Far Watch Post and stand on the crates by the bridge, waiting for a lowbie to show up. When one did, I would kill the one caravan lady and the other two quest givers there.

I would continue to do this until I would amass quite a large group of lowbies, who would all /spit on me and pull Plainstriders over. It would sometimes feel like a great big party, with me as the host.

That is until someone would snitch on LocalDefense and I would have to run with my tail between my legs as 5 Feral Druids and a Warrior all descended on my poor Shaman butt to save their poor lowbies.

Wouldn’t stop me from waiting as a ghost for the questgivers to respawn, before quickly rezzing and Frost Shocking them all before I got sapped and murdered again.

Would never actually kill any of the lowbies, just revel in the same pain I felt when I levelled my first main.

Good times. Goooood times.

…

Am I a bad person?

if the designers didn’t want something to be killed, they obviously wouldn’t allow you attack those mobs. just like various mobs throughout kul’tiras and zul’dazar.

they either make them appear green to you or that maroon color name plate, but either way, you can’t open fire on 'em

Okay good, so not a bad person.

Maybe I should do it again sometime…

flight masters, quest givers, even vendors I slaughter.
Guards barely damage me, let alone kill me.

Not a bad person. Just sorta sad.
Spending your time and money hampering others when you could be doing something productive.

Looks likes working as intended

Nah you’re fine. It is a little morally unsound, but there’s no rule against it. If anything it’s the NPC’s fault for not being immortal. Shame on them! They must learn the error of their ways and only you can do that. :face_with_monocle:

no doubt, someone who plays this game just to go out of their way to grief others has a chemical imbalance in the brain.

I always thought these posts were funny.

People pay to play a game. The game has some rules. What the OP and others have done in a similar fashion have not broken those rules.

Rules arent always morally ethical, but that doesnt mean it’s bad. The OP isnt bad, nor sad. He is just enjoying the game he pays to play.

What’s sad is belittling others, or thinking their ways of fun is sad. It may not be for you, but its allowable in the game. I dont find that sad at all.

If someone asks a question, they deserve an honest answer. Opinions vary from person to person. What I think depressing and pitiable might be your funniest moment.
No one’s handing out “You Did A Thing!” awards here.

I have a nice tent set up at Menethil Harbor in classic wow, so who am I to judge you OP?

“Is it bad that I like to spend a great deal of time griefing people who are powerless to stop me?”

This story is fake. No way there were 5 feral druids :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

At least you’re not on here pretending you’re doing it for “world pvp” like others do. You’re admitting that you’re doing it just for the sake of ruining other peoples’ time. So there’s that.

Well, this was a couple expansions ago. I only distinctly remember always seeing several cats unstealth the instant I rezzed.
