So im 50, and its miserable… groups are only running meta comps (4x war 1x sham or 4x mage 1x priest) no one else is looking and questing is almost impossible, you have 9-10 people on every layer camping individual 12 min respawns. I thought the early 40s were bad enough, the pirate spot in Tanaris is a ghost town, its residents genocided.
And after all this, normal leveling times, and no word on increased drops for raid tiers, we have to slug it out for a year of functionally irrelevant content in a TBC waiting room. Why even release classic at all, should of just been TBC prepatch so we don’t have to just reroll belf / nei in a year.
I would of rather just had full duration classic > TBC but this basically feels like only negative changes, as if SoD wasn’t an bad enough.

This is why we needed pvp ranking from day 1.
That way people out in the world questing and supporting their faction are actually about as efficient as those griding dungeons rushing to max.

As a druid who tanks every dungeon, my LFG board has been mostly
-rogue xalot
-warrior xalot
-hunter xalot
I take every priest warlock mage and shaman I can find. Tanking as a druid is so much easier when you’re not running warrior rogue and hunter anyways.
Honestly would of been more fun if they did something wild like doing fresh on TBC client talents (and races) with progression to TBC content. (Yes this is possible, no I won’t explain it for the 100th time.)
It’s hard playing Era again even as a TBC waiting room knowing there’s better versions of it (not SoD) I could be doing. But like most people who subscribe to this game I too yearn for the mines.
I don’t care about TBC at all. Vanilla is king, and this is great. I haven’t experience any of what you described.

Don’t know how to tell you this but there’s an LFG tool that’s extremely simple to use that you can even create your own group in a matter of minutes

SoM was only a year. This is going to be a year and some change

When TBC comes out, it will almost certainly have a level boost.
Leave now and buy it when TBC comes out.
Or, if considering you are already level 50, then stop playing, restart about a month before tbc releases, and finish those final 10 levels, or 8, cause you can go into tbc at level 58 I think.

Not just that, when TBC releases, they will scream for changes AGAIN.
Do these people play Super Mario 3 and then email Nintendo asking for changes?
It’s re-release for people who want to replay the version from 2019.
If you aren’t one of those people, I can easily recommended at least 10 alternatives for you, even other versions of this game.

Had an easy time so far finding dungeon groups and the horde has been very helpful with quests.
A nice change from playing alliance for 20 years.
