Killing Elites of my level gives 14XP?

Doing what Blizz wants - trying to get Void Elf rep. I have received no levels from this at all. I got one level from BFA and one from pet battles LOL, and one from dungeons.

Killing Elites OF MY LEVEL and often dieing = nothing. But I am doing exactly what they think I want to do.

I already have 4 120s, but wanted to level this toon while getting rep, since I have already experienced WOD quests. This is such B!S!!!

Are you talking about leveling in Legion on this character that you’re posting on?

If so, you’re level 112. You’ve outleveled Legion. They nerf the XP into the ground after 110 on purpose. You’re not supposed to be there.

You are not intended to level up while doing endgame legion content. It was not designed for leveling.

Yes, but what if you are not done getting your rep like me. I’m in the same boat.

Make it worthwhile to do the content you want to do. They are not gray or green. They are elite yellow! FGFS!

Am doing Legion content for races, come to find out Blizz don’t want me to!?!?!?! They give no 0-14 XP for killing 112 Elites while I’m level 111. That is not easy and XP should be reduced by 10%, not 99.5%. Quests only give gold even though you are killing yellow elites that are more difficult than BFA content. I just want to scream like a male BE.

I have been working on this since I got my second 120 and decided to level this toon in difficult Legion end game, but I can’t… I already did BFA quests. To be honest, I was NOT enjoying Krokuun on a PVP server as alliance, since I was killed every 4 to 5 minutes, so I didn’t and couldn’t do it back then with my gear level.

I made it into revered as a 111, but finally gave up and hit 120 then came back.

I guess blizz prefers that I spend my time one/three-shotting instead of being challenged.

The low xp is stupid.

It’s not.

That expansion’s level cap is 110. You move into BfA after that. They want people in the next level of content and buying that expansion.

If you want to be challenged, you continue through the appropriate content. Not old content that maxes out at 110.

Blame exploiters. Blizzard would release a new expansion and these people would find a way to abuse old content to reach the new level cap. So they heavily nerfed the exp you get if you stick around in old expansion areas after you should have moved on already.

You missunderand the word challenge. Going back at 120 is less of a challenge than continuing at 112.

You misunderstand the concept of “old content.” Your “challenge” lies in new content. Not old end game.

I am only asking for a happy medium of halfway between XP. And it is still current content if not completed, or if you haven’t unlocked the races yet.

Never going to happen. You will save a whole lot of time if you just do BfA content, get geared, and then go back. Next week is also Timewalking which has been an exceptional source of XP lately as well.

That’s what I finally did…

What you’re really asking for is for old content to scale to the level of new content…or to whatever level your character happens to be at so you can never out-level it to farm.

Don’t give them any ideas.

Yes, that would be interesting. Getting attacked by level 120 raptors in the Barrens…

I think some games do that sort of thing, don’t they? Does ESO have that system? I think the world scales to you rather than to a preset scale range.

Old Republic scales you down and it sucks. It’s horrible design.

Rift has their Mentoring system and it’s fantastic. You get to choose your level and you get rewards based off of your actual level.

There is nothing of the sort. If you want to continue through the game to gain XP, you move on to the current content.

No, it’s old content you haven’t completed yet. Blizz does not want you gaining current XP levels in previous expansions.

I’m sorry but it isn’t current content. Just because you are working on the areas of an expansion does not make it current. Battle for Azeroth is current content.

It’s the same as levelling a new character - you play your level 60 character through Burning Crusade zones where it gets experience but that is not “current content” - it is simply content of an appropriate level for that particular character at that level. Once you outlevel that content your experience reduces until you move on to the next expansion range.

Blizzard does not want you hanging out in old content. If you don’t want to quest, try doing IEs. They can give really good xp if you run around killing on the Elites

With the game designed around getting rep, it makes no sense to not give more options while leveling. In shadowlands they will be giving a ton of options, so for those that say, “you shouldn’t be playing old content” need to understand that some players like to finish stuff up with alts instead of running the same quests on 12 toons. I’d rather redo some older content that I haven’t seen for over a year instead of redoing what I just did 9 times again. I have each class at 120.

It IS more challenging to do Void Elf rep as a 110 instead of a 120. Not sure why forum dwellers feel the need to belittle and harass posters for speaking their mind.

Dude…no.
