I made up a new shadow priest and figured I would give the pre-patch event a try. Things went well for the first few boss fights. Killed Remembered Stitches and Remembered Hogger with little to no problem. Those fights actually went considerably quicker and easier than when I was on my 70 characters.
Then I tried to fight Remembered Hakkar, and while fighting him my character instantly went from full health to almost none, then died. It seems like something is off in the scaling of his attacks, because all my max level guys have fought him with little to no problem. They take some damage, sure, but don’t almost instantly die. Is this how his fight is supposed to go?
Lowbies <60 have a high chance of dying.
Pull one of the sons of hakkar (the small serpents) and kill them near Hakkar. Stand in the green puddle that they leave behind for a second to pick up the 1 minute DOT and debuff. When Hakkar does his AOE, the laser that he shoots at you should be green instead of red. You won’t instantly die.
Rinse and repeat with the little serpents and debuff until Hakkar is dead.
You’re still going to have to pop any defensives and heals. Yes, the scaling is WAY off for lowbies.
I hope that’s helpful!

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks

And I would like to say that when Hakkar did that AOE skills- draining blood I guess?( red channels between players and itself ) My LV 33 mage couldn’t even press the Ice block and then died. That really confused me.
The scaling of that blood drain ability is way off. I simply stopped bothering with Hakkar on any of my alts who were below 60. There are enough other events to level with.

I land on the building until the poison pool spawns then fly into the pool to get the debuff. If you are on the upper roof you usually don’t get hit by the AOE.

I’ve also seen that people can carry the corrupted blood debuff to other events and continually spread it and kill lower level players that way.

He also mind controls someone, and if that someone is a lvl 70, and happens to attack a lowbie, they usually just die.
Even when they’re green, you die. this is at level 64.
I’ve done that, and either missed the kill completely, or STILL died, when the boss had less than 5% health and I bubbled.
