Killed in Deathwing fire. How long does it last for?

As per title. Corpse is right in the centre of it. I see NPCs die instantly. Don’t wanna die over and over. How long does the event last for? Thanks. Edit: Coffee later… it seems done. Few minutes of my life lost. That was all lol. There’s worse rubbish on TV to lose precious minutes over

It’s lasts until we kill him in Dragon Soul or you can wait the ~20 seconds it takes for the fire to go away.

the fire last at least 3 min.

Fun times this.

I ran a 1 to 60 dugneon last week. The plan was teleport out, teleport in, turn in quests. A good plan, a solid plan.

teleport out right into dragon fire. Sigh…

They should have brought this back in Retail for WoW’s 20th anniversary.

MY chalice is running low on tears. this would fill it.

they whined, a lot, with the SL prelude event that was basically the wrath prelude event redone.

Hell they rant on dance party days. My AH is a dance hall! this is an outrage. Okay…go to the one that is not a dance hall.

they ruined the SL event so bad, which was the only good part of that horrible expansion. then they ruined the wotlk classic event even more because this game is filled with crybabies that will not let ANYONE else have fun if they don’t like it.

You can tag mobs that spawn in the fire. The fire will kill them but you can loot 20 of them when the fire subsides. If you aren’t 85, you will get a pitiful XP amount, like 22xp if you are 83 since you did so little damage to kill them.
Mobs rapidly respawn in only a few seconds if they die in the fire event zone. I think this is coded otherwise zones would be completely empty for several minutes if the normal respawn timer was used.

It was a test to see if you were raid ready and you failed it.

Its also a land navigation test by scholomance. that fire makes refinding the door if dead hard as hell from the GY.

You need a nice compass, shooting azimuths, waypoints, the whole 9 yards really.

that fire jsut has that place to go crap real fast.

Perfect. I didn’t want to raid anyway.

It takes much longer than 20 seconds. Folks won’t believe those who spew inaccurate information and they won’t trust you.

Eh, don’t really care if people see me saying that Deathwing’s fire lasts 20 seconds and judge that I’m now untrustworthy because it’s false. Sure it’s lasts longer than 20 seconds and upwards of 3 minutes, either way it’s not long enough for it to be an inconvenience, at least to me.

Was leveling a Druid in Burning Steppes
Died to DW’s fire
Corpse ran to my body
Fire still there
Tabbed out did something on the internet
Tabbed back in after 5 minutes or something
Continued playing

When folks lie about little things they lie about big things.

Literally everyone lies about little things and I didn’t even lie, I actually thought that the fire didn’t last that long and looking at it 3 minutes isn’t long.
