- Kill Shot -

Kill Shot is the only attack that spans all 3 specs as a valid and even crucial addition to the spell book, but this core ability is scarcely recognized throughout talents, legendary effects, anima powers, and even soulbind traits.

To start with, why does the cooldown of Kill Shot not reset if the target dies? I feel like this should be a baseline aspect of the ability. While this alone would elevate the fun factor of playing a Hunter, I feel like there is so much more that could be done with Kill Shot.



Suggestions


Shot In the Dark
Kill Shot can be used on any target regardless of health and deals X% more damage to enemies below 20% health.


Extermination
The cooldown of Kill Shot is reduced by X seconds.


Dead Man Walking
Kill Shot applies 3 seconds of A Murder of Crows to the target.


Quick Draw
Lethal Kill Shots cause enemies near that target to run in fear for X seconds.


The Alpha and Omega
Lethal Kill Shots have a low chance to cause nearby enemies to become allies.


I think any number of these, in any combination of talents, legendary effects, anima powers, or soulbind traits would add a certain degree of synergy and fun to Hunters that just seems to be lacking, especially in Torghast.

Some of those actually look quite decent.

I agree, would add an element of “fun”. Could even be random each time.

This is outright better than Flayed Shot, so it isn’t going to happen until Shadowlands is over at least.

Interesting. If you are specced for both Dead Man Walking and A Murder of Crows, and Crows is on cooldown, would the temporary Crows reset the main Crows if the target died within 3s after Kill Shot? Could be a very interesting way to game Crows resets in AoE while funneling the procs into a high health primary target.

Nope, do not want. Cower in fear would be fine, but the last thing I want is a talent that creates runners.

Super OP, would be fun as an Anima Power though.

Before that we need Kill Shot to actually kill anything. My Aimed Shots do more damage than my Kill Shots. It doesn’t feel like an execute ability at all.

How about something that can turn kill shot into an explosive shot that kills the main target but causes a percentage of aoe damage to surrounding enemy npcs ?

Would be more interesting then the current aimed shot also fires a serpent sting shot legendary imo.

I too would like to see KS do more damage, but I don’t want them to take it from AiS.

Maybe buff KS across the board (while buffing BM/SV auras) as a means to keep Hunters competitive?

I like the spell, I think it has a high hidden crit modifier. when it does crit it hits hard but otherwise it is weak.

Rank 2 gives it 25% extra critical strike damage
