Kill off thrall

this thread brought to you by the sylvanas gang

Mary Sue; a character with no negative traits. Loved by all. One of the most powerful characters in that universe.

Can you name some negative character traits in Thrall? Try to.
In fact, anyone can take a shot at it.

EXAMPLE:
Han Solo - womanizer, smuggler, etc.
Darth Vader - he’s freaking DARTH VADER! Likes to force choke people with whom he disagrees. Kind of a murder-bot-Sithlord
Obi-wan Kenobi - Given up on life, hermit, fails to stand for what he swore to protect.

Horrible self-esteem, guilt ridden. Always has been, even when he was Warchief, was made massively worse after the death of Garrosh to the point he was depowered.

Overly trusting and bad judge of character. See garrosh and the multiple times he has been backstabbed then gives second chances.

Kill Stealer. Though to be fair the Garrosh one was a cycle of events started when the Alliance wanted Garrosh to have a trial. Thrall was just going to execute him.

Overly Idealistic.

Not a strong grip on Warfare. He tends to second guess himself and easily fall into a despression when the slightest thing goes wrong. Suffers from a heart of gold during conflict

Also he is currently this ^

If your only response is an unfinished and out of context quote then I suppose you agree with the other 99% percent and that Thrall is not a flawless character.

Bring back Thrall, kill off Sylvanas instead.

Whats a mary sue

Pretty sure the Pre-WoW fanbase would leave then…

Hes male so Marty Stu

You have no idea what a Mary Sue is.

Thrall has a huge amount of flaws, and their heavily accented throughout the entire story of WoW.

The fact you try to say he’s “literally” the definition of a Mary Sue, means you “literally” have no idea what your talking about.

Also Just so your aware:

Mar·y Sue
noun
(originally in fan fiction) a type of female character who is depicted as unrealistically lacking in flaws or weaknesses.
“she was not a ‘strong woman’ so much as an insufferable Mary Sue”

I feel confident that is not the definition of Mary Sue.

A key point to being a Mary Sue is the character is often young and has more experience/talent/power than they should have. That is literally where the term came from.

every word of that describes thrall, breaker of chains in durnholde, slayer of warchiefs, chosen of the elements, dragon aspect bansher, trained by none more powerful than all, founder of nations, recruiter of tribes, undefeated in battle.

need i go on?

Move to lore section

Or we could extract the tooth that’s been making trouble for the Horde since day one of WoW.

Namely Sylvanas. Who despite genociding Teledrassil is somehow “justified” and right? I think we know who the real Mary Sue is, and it’s not the big green successor to Orgrim Doomhammer. It’s the insufferable character I mute every time she comes into a quest.

The fact that she’s alive, and leader of the Horde is because of plot agency not actual skill.

The buff should be called “Thrall’s Balls”

Best /whoa ever.

Thrall is a good man though. While I’m sure some Horde players would hate this, I want to see him and Jaina mend their friendship. I really liked them as friends and respected their trust with one another.

all mary sue chars are good tho.

But it actually doesn’t…

really so which thing was false?
