Can we just have a lore plot twist where literally every notable named character dies? The story is getting literally painful to sit through. Can we just have an expac where it’s some quest text about some magic rune in an evil castle/crypt/magic forest and we need to get it? No end of the world, no big evil bad guy, no stupidly obvious plot “twist”, no insufferable characters, just give us the game. You have been failing at lore for the past 15 years. The game is carrying itself. We don’t need mystic elves, we don’t need time rifts, we don’t need big bad and some greater unknown evil that will do exactly the same thing the last 40 bad guys did. The lore isn’t working. End it.
I’m liking this post just to see where it goes.
I’d like to hear the reasoning behind not doing what you suggested.

But we bring sparkles to the world

Awww but Nostalgia!?!
But who’s gonna drop all the lovely epic/legendary loot then?
We just have a sign that says “dungeon” as we run down untextured hallways, and we fight a giant box that says “boss” on it.
Idk I think the lore, context to what we’re doing, and atmosphere are all needed lol.
Stormstout Brewery is an example of a dungeon where it’s not the end of the world if we fail. There’s in fact several of those. They are smaller in scale.
Raids, on the other hand, are a bit of a different story.
The stakes are high just to bait interest, I get it’s annoying but it’s like Bowser kidnapping the princess.
Yes bring the Scourge back with such ferocity - some UH DK lead - that releases a devastating plague and everyone dies and the only way to save us is to sacrifice Nozdormu or some other powerful Bronze dragon to turn back time and prevent the UH DK from carrying out his plans.
I would love to see some major story characters die, blizzard has been far too safe for far too long. Like the non-sense with Khadgar… absolutely putrid story telling.
What has happened to Khadgar is just sad and peak story telling
Join the horde. We lose them pretty frequently. Vol’jin chose to die once he saw how bad my shipyard was in WOD.
I say faction war but a real one, cities are razed to the ground, most characters die in battle, just something really gritty to usher in an age of new heroes, leaders and factions.
rebuild old zones and make it visitable.
new dungeons and raids. some guy stole a bunch of gold from the bank, go kill him. this nercomrancer is raising undead that are uglier than regular undead, go kill them. there’s your loot. we don’t need lore or a big bad.
So Punisher?
Ok maybe we fight crime then as Law enforcers, not adventurers ![]()
Actually not a bad idea ![]()
Tell us you’ve never read a good book or played a good story-based game in your life
, lol.
Adorable bait btw.
I don’t need to tell a goblin anything.
It was genuine you should stop projecting.
this a joke? magic wheelchair is peak story telling?
Have a goodnight little ![]()
Try not to make your bait so obvious next time.
Your subjective opinion is fine, just like alot of subjective opinions are flat out trash. I thought him being surprised pulled by Xalatath into the dark heart and surviving but aged was a sad thing to see. Khadgar is a good character all around over the years – So to me that was a good addition to the ongoing story.
no no no, we need to kill off all the npcs, repopulate with “npc1” “npc2” etc. Replace all the pesky quests with a bunch that have you delivering baked goods throughout azeroth…on foot. They could call this gem “World of Borecraft” and it will rejuvenate Blizzards holdings.
WoW: Reborn* after the UH necromancer kills everyone and we are recovering we ought to be handing out bread and milk like the good old days.
better lore than the past 4 expansions. is oh no a big dragon is going to destryo the world but we’re friends so it stopped him somehow engaging for you?
if everyone is Forsaken…No one is Forsaken. Everyone is undead!!!
