Kill command not registering damage or in combat log

I posted in bug report but am not getting any response. I’m trying to put in a ticket, but that whole system is erroring out atm and not loading. I’m literally gona cry from frustration :frowning:

Kill command doesn’t show damage in the combat text OR in the combat log.

I’ve tried disabling all my addons and deleted the saved variables (I made a backup). I’ve tried resetting to default interface settings. I’ve tried console commands that turn on the combat text. Nothing works.

Kill command damage just suddenly DISAPPEARED for me today :frowning:

I’m assuming you tried only using kill command to see if it did any damage all by itself?

nah its not showing in combat log/details

correct. im also having this issue with barbed shot which is supposed to do a bit of damage on hit.

Are you sure that you aren’t using a possibly broken macro? Maybe try clicking Kill Command from your spellbook to test.

If that’s not the case, have you tried dismissing your pet or tried using a different pet?

If all else fails, run a repair on the game. That might sort it.

I did this and have a screenshot of it on cooldown and no damage in combat log

I’ll try that when i get off work. Im not looking forward to it but this may require a complete reinstall

I figured it out

idk how it got turned off

but this turned it back on

/console floatingCombatTextPetMeleeDamage 1
/console floatingCombatTextPetSpellDamage 1

Thanks! I had the same issue idk how. I’ve never messed with any of that /console stuff but sure enough that fixed it. So weird
