This just makes it into a game of reprisal. Ignore or kick people for whatever reason, but Blizzard shouldn’t be passively encouraging retribution from players IMO.

We all have ignore and report for the times we are verbally attacked and it’s more likely this would simply result in trolls sitting out for a debuff timer.
I disagree with this. Specifically, the premise that there’s anything to be accountable for in initiating a vote kick. You can’t cause any action on your own via use of vote kick, it requires input from the entire group sans the person being kicked.
I have seen this happen too.
They kicked a Ret paladin for being dc.
It was not even 60 seconds.
I declined the kick as we are all smashing the dungeon.
They initiated a kick second time, my decline wasn’t accepted. The ret came back the kick went through.
That is when i had it with this broken system that is hurting our community, if that Ret was a new player, he would learn this and use the same tactics on another new player in 5 years.
Remove/Revamp the vote kicking BS psychology that only harbors primitive thinking players.
We need to move forward and bring and accommodate new players with a more balanced system that is fair and that works. I have already given my suggestion that they are unable to counter.
Keep grinding guys, keep levelling alts and make sure to point out when you are subject to abuse & grief.

Let’s read this and understand that it also means it cannot be reprisal to vote kick that person for initiating what you deem to be an unjustified VtK.
ALL reasons are justified. That includes THIS reason.

Yes, but this is a separate issue from Blizzard’s onus to create a system that feels fair under this rule.
I’d shrug it off if it were already telling people - I do not think they should strip the anonymity from the system, because that’s essentially giving in to a retributive urge. An endorsement from Blizzard to start kick wars.
The only people that helps are those who want to waste everyone’s time.
I consider the anonymity of it to be an endorsement of launching stealth attacks. 
Idk. Like I said, it’s not world ending, but I honestly find it annoying to see it happen even as often as I have. I’ve run dozens of norms and heroics so it’s still a low percentage of my runs but I’ve seen a handful of really stupid VtKs while only seeing a single one that I had to initiate or vote yes on.
Again, anecdote, but a far higher percentage of them are BS than legit.

Either one’s going to come off as an endorsement of some kind, and I’d rather “stealth attack” which doesn’t waste anyone’s time to “reprisal” which makes people get petty and waste the group’s time. I’ve seen this, btw, when someone admits they initiated one. The ego-fueled tank vs the burned DPS hashing it out until someone decides to pull and either people start leaving or they finally shut up and just play.
I’ve seen some stupid VtKs in previous expansions, I just vote the way I feel is apt, and accept the outcome. I don’t think most of them have been BS, though. Low damage, AFK and being generally annoying are the most common reasons, and they’re all valid as far as I’m concerned. I vote no on low damage kicks unless it’s needed, but… these days it isn’t, in queued content, frankly put.
lmao…its ok for daddy bliz to endorse BAD behavior according to that side…so kick wars would absolutely fall under that unbrella…since daddy bliz has urinated on the social contract themselves directly by saying expressly that the vote kick cant be abused knowing it IS BEING ABUSED regardless of their claims to the contrary.
UNLESS…of course…a blue wants to step in here and tell us all directly that blizzard literally 
DESIGNED the vote kick to 
remove players over their Mog and Racial choices.
Any blues want to speak to that issue here for all to see?
We all know the CONTEXT in which the vote kick was created…to remove ACTUAL problem players from the group. Period.
Or not be worthy as teh arrogants in the group. Not all groups are like this but quite a few are
