Kicking people for low DPS in leveling dungeons

I try to offer advice first, but I have no qualms kicking people.

Usually I’m doing 75% of the groups damage because I like to enchant my characters and give them the best gear possible, but if you’re doing literally nothing you’re outa here.

I dont care if you’re a dps pulling, I don’t care if youre a healer dpsing. All I care about is if you’re trying to get us through as fast as possible.

People who say only let the tank pull are the baddies that deserve kicks.

Leveling dungeons aren’t m+. Work with it, could be a brand new player.

Wouldn’t ever really bother to do this myself but don’t really care or see the issue.

Leveling dungeons have become such a joke, hopefully shadowlands brings back some meaningful gameplay in leveling dungeons.

Depends. If it’s low because they don’t understand their class fully that is one thing. I say keep them and let them learn.
If it’s low because they are afk randomly and not even pressing anything then boot them to the curb. Because I can forgive trying and failing but I can’t not abide not trying at all.

In leveling dungeons I wont kick someone at all unless they are afk, being rude for no reason, or just pulling things and wiping our group over and over again. Low dps is not a reason to kick someone while leveling up. Everyone is new to the game or their class/spec at one point.

I main healers through lowbie dungeons, and I’ve never felt the need to watch dps meters. Most people are wearing BOA and absolutely carrying groups, so it’s never been much of an issue.

I hate when people do that. low level dungeons are as easy as can be, and by a person doing low DPS, it only makes the dungeon take maybe 2 minutes longer. But he probably waited 30min to get in there. It’s just rude. Besides, a lot of DOT specs can’t do much because mobs die so quickly.

Not worth it usually. I have been kicked for low healing though and I’ve been kicked for not kicking spells (Some specs don’t get a kick till 30+)

I dont kick in any dungeon really unless:
You are being needlessly rude/trolling
Afk over 5 mins w/o warning
DC over 5 mins
Are on /follow and dont actually do anything
Step outside your role causing more than 1 wipe (eg, dps that run ahead and pull the room when the tank cant handle that many mobs.)

Unless you do one of those things I dont really care what your dps or anything else is.

Someone would literally have to be AFK at the entrance for me to take notice of them in leveling dungeons.

And even then, I’d still be halfway through the dungeon before I noticed we only had 4 people.

Blizzard will never make LFG content challenging again. Leveling dungeons, or any dungeons really, are designed to be a joke even if you don’t outgear them.

I don’t care about low DPS during leveling. Like who cares.

I do, however, care about wether or not people show interest in improving.

Like a healer, I’ll give lots of chances, but if feedback is ignored and we’re still wiping it’s gonna be a kick.

Same with asking people to read the built in guide Blizzard works diligently on. “I don’t have time to read dude” well you will after this kick lol.

Perfectly justifiable. I didn’t join a leveling dungeon to walk through it slowly. I joined to level.

I routinely kick low dps in leveling dungeons. I also kick any vulpera.

Just ran into this type on my Veng DH tanking to get a Skinning quest done. I was doing literally 2x more damage. Never once had it crossed my mind to vote kick.

If someone’s doing a mythic or m+ then sure, by all means. They created the group. If it’s someone from LFD, unless they aren’t doing anything or just trolling, getting rid of someone for low DPS is just bad. People who look at the BIG numbers are a cancer to this game. It’s better to see if they need some help with rotation or maybe they are just gearing up.

Sounds pretty dumb to kick people for something they could have no control over at that point. A lot of classes don’t even get some of their main component(s) of their class until late in the leveling process.

Idk, I think they need some teeth.

Ppl get trained early on that dungeons = afk press random buttons pull whatever who cares collect loot.

They they reach max level and complain about M+ and raider io ruining the game because nobody will invite them to keys.

Leveling dungeons teach bad habits by virtue of being such braindead content.

If you had to be even somewhat careful about what you pulled and what you interrupted or when you used CDs the game would better prepare people for endgame.

I boot people regularly if I notice in details their DPS is abnormally low for many pulls. And I start to watch their rotation. If I think they’re half assing or AFKing it…

They get the boot.

you remind me of the unfortunate people who kicked me from a tw dungeon because I wasn’t “pulling like m+ streamers do.”

Dps really only matters at 120. if someone is kicking people below that, then they are a tool.

as the zoomers say, the people in dungeons are “E X T R A,” you being an example.
