Kicked Unfairly

this in of itself is why the system is dogS and needs to be removed.
Giving players free rein like this is a MASSIVE mistake.
Like giving a child free rein without supervision, something will inevitably go wrong and it’s just a bad idea.
I’ll 100% take the VERY RARE few jackholes who people say the kick system is needed for rather than have this garbage where people can kick you just for trying to play the game.
It’s the 1 reason why I don’t do any group content, especially as tank, because a very similar thing happened to me years ago.
Hell, I’m terrified as it is tanking TW dungeons with an alt DH I’m leveling.
Either the kick system needs to go, or the penalty for it does.
Or it needs a complete rework where players do not have HALF the power they do with it.

Bruh I was kicked 30 seconds into an LFR raid when I qued tank back in BFA all because I said “no” when asked if I did it before.
LFR. 30 seconds in, not even 1 pull.

IT IS 100% A WAY TO GRIEF OTHER PLAYERS and has been for years.

No you weren’t.

Alas, of only this were true. Unfortunately since GIL operates a database that is independent of the in-built ignore system, any player your add to it that is on top of an already full base ignore list, will not be taken into account when matchmaking. Thus the game will still group you with your ignored players.

This is a fundamental shortcoming of the in-built ignore system due to its pathetically small cap.

I blame the M+ community for this, luckily an M+ MMO is coming out this year so maybe, just maybe the toxin levels will go down.

I have bad news OP Alliance is mostly kiddies playing behind those characters.

Applause everyone, this right here is the very reason why this system is garbage and needs to be done away with.
Toxic people defending it and those same toxic people denying other people’s own experiences with the toxicity.
Yes, this did absolutely happen to me.
If you think it didn’t, well, you are the reason why this game has gotten so much more toxic over the years.
YOU are one of the ones who have allowed it with this “that’s not happening” “that’s not true” “You weren’t kicked just for that:”
YES.
YES I WAS.
Deny the TRUTH all you want, the TRUTH is, the kick system is a pile of BS that constantly gets abused by the players and has been for MANY years now. Most of the reasons poeple are kicked are not valid in the least.
And that isn’t the first time, I’ve had dungeons where I was playing, got a random loading screen, and suddenly a dungeon debuff. And this stuff happened to me long before that BFA experience. No reason, no explanation, I was just with the group, then I wasn’t.
Yes, this does happen and has been for A LOT longer than you want to think. Whether you want to admit it or not.

All the talk about “truth”, but there’s an internal timer before you can be vote kicked. You weren’t kicked in 30 seconds. That is flatly untrue.

Not on the character you ignored them on. Unfortunately when you log onto an alt to burn your 30 minute debuff those same people won’t still be on that alt’s ignore list.

Not really a comprehensive solution.

And what timer is that?
Oh sure, maybe it was a minute because of time taken to type.
Oh wow, so my specific amount of seconds was off, MAYBE.
That doesn’t change literally ANYTHING I said. I never got a single pull, I never got to even do the raid.
It was answered a question, and then gone.
Yes, in LFR. Yes, without one single pull or anything.

I smell a funny fish in the water.

You’re on a demon hunter, you are “tanking” and yet somehow they were moving faster than you? On a demon hunter?

Also, you said they ran ahead right away. There is a cooldown timer for vote to kicks. You’re telling me they sprint off ahead of you… a demon hunter… and it took you so long to catch up they vote kicked you?

On a demon hunter… you could not catch up to the group… on a demon hunter.

cough BS cough

Blizzard policy doesnt change and when it does, its even worse than it was before. Like them trying to “enforce good behaviour” with that stupid social contract. Yeah its in place, but, ultimately it doesnt do jack.

Been playing a fair bit of STO again doing TFOs (the kinda equivlant of dungeons). It doesn’t have the kick system.

In a small but significant portion of them, at least one of the 5 people in the TFO does nothing. Goes AFK. Or does piss all. MAYBE you could consider that a minor issue, since the TFOs aren’t that hard. But I still find it frustrating. And I suspect would become endemic the moment you remove this Kick mechanic from things like TW.

Simple solution, stop tanking for pugs, way too many of the player base act like this and will flame anybody who suggests otherwise.

You want to play your way. They want to play theirs. They voted. It can feel unfair, but the group decided which playstyle they prefer. This is not a violation of any rules, so there is nothing for Bliz to “look into”. If you’re suggesting the policy be changed, you’re in the right place. But as things stand, this was simply two opposing playstyles, and the majority of the group chose the other.

Blizzard won’t do anything, this post is prime reason why we have Delves and now option disable chat. This is Blizzard best option give playerbase to issues with other players is put players like yourself in Delves (a bubble) and hope your happy with it. It’s sad but unfortunately true.

So you have made this spam post before?

thats fair

Welcome to LFD its very easy and tanks are just cosmetic just got to role with it or try qing for mythic or m+

yup its lfd people can just face pull and kill its very easy just got to roll with it.

i mean they want to go fast and instead of just going with it and pushing W you probably just stood there typing.

thats not a them issue. thats a you and whatever you dont like issue. nothing blizzard does will fix it really. Also if you kept up with them most takes rip aggro anyways just running around. Like on my brew i jsut roll and spinning crane kick and thats enough to hold aggro.

“report player” bam you just directly contacted someone.

because they didnt do anything wrong. they wanted to go fast you didnt so you got kicked. again just run jump dash charge etc and you will rip aggro instead of typing. in heroics you could pull boss to boss and not die.

there is nothing to help but yourself. stop expecting everyone to go slow and just go faster. or step up the difficulty so that dps cant do that. thats your choice.

I think the timer is actually about 2 minutes. Not really “seconds off, MAYBE”. If you just said you were exaggerating for effect, I’d have let it pass but you doubled down on it. If this is an example of how you react to other people, then I’m not surprised you got kicked…

well then they changed it after BFA because all I know is I answered “no” after being asked seconds into joining and then I was loaded screen out.
I’m not exaggerating at all.
You can believe what you want, I’m not lying or anything in the least.
Go ahead, PRETEND I’m lying.
I know what I experienced.
And if you think I “deserve to be kicked” for defending myself, well, YOU are part of the reason why this game is so toxic.

Not only is that not possible because of the kick timer, it takes FOUR people requesting a kick vote to begin the process. One antsy tank cannot do it.

It did not happen. It could not. And because nobody in LFR is paying attention to chat, it’s pulling teeth to even get them to kick someone who is causing deaths/wipes or has been afk the whole time. You have to really deserve it to get kicked from LFR because it is hard to do.

I’m sorry if some are not understanding your concerns.

You are completely correct, if someone wants to sit there and continuously kick random people from a group, for absolutely no reason, they can. There will be absolutely no penalty on them.

Does this happen? I’m going to say yes, because we do have some immature players. Does it happen all the time? Nope.

I think if someone is going to kick, it better be a darn good reason. Typing in a random string of letters is not a good reason. And to kick a tank? That’s just crazy talk.
