Kicked from group, group said nothing

Hey. Was just recently kicked from a LFD group. We weren’t even 5 minutes into the dungeon, and literally nothing had been said.

I wasn’t ninja-pulling and was doing okay dps, so I can only assume that I was kicked because I was playing a Moon Guard character?

Is this okay? How is it acceptable to kick someone from the group for being on a specific realm? Nothing was spoken and the names of the characters that I was grouped with are nowhere in my chat logs, so I cannot report these players (all except the healer, which I have just reported). I was even given dungeon deserter for some reason.

Can we please get a recent players list or something so that we can report players that abuse the LFD system?

Depends. Maybe they thought your dps was too low or you pulled and did not realize. Sometimes people are just mean.

One of the best Mythics I have run lately was with a tank from Moonguard. SOOOO NICEEEE

This was a random wrath dungeon. We were all around level 60. I was also 2nd highest dps, and not that far from 1st. And I’m a rogue, so not accidentally pulling. I waited for the tank to charge every time before I started attacking.

Well, talking to you would involve actually having to justify the kick as fair

Yeah you got me. I tanked some of them on my alt and the groups were kind of strange. More then likely just mean people.

If they were from a Brazilian server like Ragnaros or Gallywix, they’re very well known for kicking for zero reason. They hate us.

Reporting them is a waste of time, nothing will come of it. People get to pick and choose who they group with, and unfortunately for you, you got a group who didn’t want you in it

Only name I got was from Blackhand (the healer). Not gonna say name cause I’m pretty sure name and shame is against COC :l

I’ve been kicked at the beginning of an instance with a “go back to goldshire” farewell right upon loading in before lol so it wouldn’t surprise me. It’s really a stupid reason to kick somebody.

Well yeah you wouldn’t know the reason of the kick other than you knew you were kicked :rofl::rofl:

I feel like if the game told you the reason you were kicked (the reason players type in the kick box when kicking) it would solve at least a few of these kick mysteries.

I hate getting kicked and still getting the deserter debuff. I feel your pain though. Sometimes a group (of friends/guildies) want to forcefully make room in their dungeon for their friend. That’s the only alternative I could offer up. Sucks either way.

I once had a verbally abusive tank and and his two guildies kick a DPS out of our group for falling behind because of mechanics (red dragon part of Bastion of Twilight). I then said in party chat that wasn’t fair for him. He then told me I was next before I got booted.

TL;DR; People come up with whatever reason they want for kicking you. Sometimes it’s you, sometimes its not. Best not dwell on it.

Yeah, it’s bewildering how incompetent the LFD system really is. Allowing a group to instant-kick a player, no discussion required, is absurd.

The kick feature needs some looking at. For one it needs a cooldown to prevent overzealous people for going hahaha your out trollololol’s hahahahaha.

To kick someone for disconnecting is one thing but to use it to troll is not right. The devs should know this why they have not looked into this is beyond me.

There should also be like first boss immunity from kick meaning you have to like get to first boss so your not instant kicked just from getting in. And it should be on a 30 min cooldown to prevent abuse.

I’ve had kick messages pop up with vague or just plain dumb ‘reason’ text in them like “stupid” “mashed potatoes” and the kicks went through sometimes before i could click yes or no myself. there’s a good chance it was people being rude for kicks and giggles at your expense

the kick system is messed up, honestly there should be more in place to make sure victims of this don’t suffer deserter due to the idiocy of others.

How can you reliably tell a stupid or bad player from a troll? How would you tell when a kick was justified or not?

This system is the best of the available options.

Until they roll an alt on your realm and start stalking you.
In which case the ignore list will need a massive expansion.

Well for island expeditions i was thinking that a kick wouldn’t trigger deserter unless the target was last in line on azerite production, for dungeons I don’t know what the factor could be really.

It is a shame if they kicked you because of being on Moonguard. I did a key yesterday with two peeps from Moonguard . They were talented and nice people.
