Kicked from AV while doing "Capture a mine"

So here we are, first day of AV. I’m on about my 6th or so AV and decided to work on quests now. So I go into the nearest cave to complete “Capture a Mine”. I’m in the cave killing mobs and someone in chat says “report Kelaurora for AFK” (my hunter). I reply in raid that I’m working on the quest and a few moments later I’m removed from AV with a 15 min debuff.
So I guess the quests aren’t getting done. Can’t believe bliz would allow this. On top of that, AV has been nothing but 8-10 min rushes. I might as well just go make a lvl 60 on retail.

Ofc they did, they’ve hired the community “I’m tellin!” police. Sorry, that really sucks, OP. I’d open in an game ticket, I think Blizz can actually see who you were grouped with & see the chat logs. Or least they used to be able, if I’m remembering right. I hope that helps you.

Just wait a little while for the zergers to get their meaningless, unearned, titles. Once they do they’ll get bored and stop queue’ing then people will actually be able to get the quests done.

You can’t expect to get the quests done on launch day. Give it a month or two.

There’s no way I’d let that happen if you took a mine. If we hold a mine after our zerg finishes we get bonus rep and honor.

That afk report gets abused, it’s dumb. I got flagged right at the start of one match, probably by part of a premade, didn’t even notice I had the debuff until there was like 15sec left on it. I quickly Epsteined myself into a pack of Horde so I wouldn’t get kicked.

F’ed up. Hate clowns like that. Have my vote to review/discipline those erroneously reporting.

Yeah unfortunately not much you can do about the battlegrounds version of report AFK. If someone has enough guild members or friends against you you’re gone.

Just had this happen to me after queuing for Alterac Valley and getting into an Arugal guild premade. Got booted soon as the gates were opened and have to sit and eat a 15 minute deserter debuff.

Can’t say I’m surprised this is going to start happening again.
