Keystone: Another great decision

SO, yeah, whomever had the bright idea to make it so that keystone only give 1 pc of loot if you don’t time them, wonderful idea, now we have people leaving keystones if there not gonna time it, and wasting everyones 30-45 minutes. Not that an untimed keystone is a waste of time to begin with.

This expansion has been awful so far, if it wasn’t for the people I’m playing with, I think i’d have dropped this for FFXIV so fast.

As someone that plays both…please give FFXIV a go. If you feel M+ a waste of time wait till you hit max level and have the only reason to do dungeons is for currency that can only be obtained daily.

that’s been happening since legion…nothing new

I’d rather not have to do them at all at max level, to be honest. Being forced into them 15 million times for gear is tedious and annoying.

Then pvp and raid?

Can’t gear up enough to do the right content, esp as warrior, that way. Although I have started pvp’ing here for gear recently, finding a partner to do it with every week has been fairly futile, since most of the people I play with hate it.

Raid right now, you can do a full run, and get nothing, and my current hours of playtime only really allow me to raid on weekends, so I’m missing the weekday “Gearing” sessions.

Well, to be fair they usually give you raids that have decent gear alongside them. For instance, the latest patch added the new Tomestones, Normal Eden, Eden Savage, Savage Emerald, and new crafted gear. All of those paths are higher than what we had before the patch.

I find it a lot easier to plan your upgrade/gearing path in FF14 than in WoW. I like knowing what drops the loot I need, and then being able to go work towards that piece with certainty, much more than WoW’s kill a boss and pray to the RNG gods system.

Like a chore list? I absolutely loathe gearing in FFXIV. That game has a lot going for it. Gear IMO is not one of them.

you should be concerned that this is what the playerbase is like more than the droprates…

I still like knowing that if my BIS chest drops from this version of this content, all I need to do is go do that content and get the token to trade for it. You can still easily get quite a few good upgrades a week like that, and it’s garunteed what you get. I absolutely can’t stand RNG based systems. I put up with em, but I loathe them. I prefer to work for something certain than hope for something uncertain.

That said, neither my view or yours is wrong. World would be boring if we all thought the same.

People have been leaving untimed keystones for years, this isn’t some new Shadowlands problem.

PvP best way to gear up in 9.0.2 and the players are the most fun to be around imo. For some reason, the pve pug community is more toxic than the pvp one now. I think gear actually coming around makes people happy. :sunglasses: :+1:
