Keys have never felt so dead to me

You’d think we’re four weeks into S4 Dragonflight or something… barely anything going on.

Start of week three on reset day… a Tuesday. Am not surprised. Most folks have to work tomorrow.

People have work tomorrow, its a tuesday and also raids reset.

For a variety of reasons (debatable) keys have been much less popular in TWW vs previous x-packs.

I personally blame the squish, difficulty, and reward structure changes. Which made the whole thing much less accessible to the general player base…

Its a trash xpac. Ignore the “PeOplE HaVE WoRk TomoRrOw.”

Even when theyre off and home they push delves, pug raids, or pvp. Mythic is dying for good reason and it can stay dead. Its a toxic cesspool of ick.

The Devs legit made the most played game mode completely cancer this season. You shouldn’t need to do a 10 for Myth track in the Vault, and no one asked for both Fort and Tyran. Actually blows my mind.

I doubt it’s the most played, maybe the most played by people that frequent the forums, but not most played overall.

My spec is S tier in M+ and I do like 1.3 mil on trash and I still don’t want to PUG keys.

Delves basic replaced mythic + for a lot of people.

And for good reason. Delves are actually fun.

What’s it like being fed from a silver spoon, your only life being no lifing Warcraft with no real worries in the world?

It was only the most played because there was no real way of gearing besides it and raiding, and it needs less people than raiding without locking you out if you already have a weekend raid planned.

We’re just seeing how many of the people who were playing it were doing it because they felt forced to instead of because they wanted to.

In Shadowlands, if you didn’t do keys, your guild either benched you or they disbanded because people weren’t doing keys.

My guild went nuclear in Shadowlands because half the raid wanted to raid log (I was PVPing personally and showed up to the raid in full PVP honor set) and the other half wanted to no life min/max keys all day and would get mad if you weren’t on their level, so they just left.

a lot of the discourse regarding m+ is because these new dungeons are some of the most difficult with actually late mythic raid boss mechanics like *be in this specific 4x4 square of space * or your group will wipe.

People just don’t care enough to admit they’re having trouble with it, they’d rather bash each other and mythic+ as a whole because that’s a bandwagon.

M+ is trash content. Damage meters. Speed running. Screaming at people. Gear Score. Just stop. No one enjoys doing that.

When given an option theyd rather do anything else.

So people that never liked M+ but felt obligated to do it walked away as soon as they had another option? Color me shocked.

To an extent…?

Ive not raided mythic yet im behind on the season but mythic plus does feel more… stressed then usual?

I wouldn’t go as far as to say its harder. Its more people who used to chill in 8s are forced into 10s and im seeing more silly mistakes there then im used to. ( seeing tanks die to patty cakes and dps eating orbs for an example).

Its made pugging more painful them when the more relaxed keys let people gear up.

I’d say that’s a symptom of self-imposed expectations being really high for those players.

If you’re struggling in 10s in week two then maybe staying in 8s until week four would get you some gear to make it a bit less of a stress.

Yup. Progression this season is different than past. It’s a good bit harder to get gilded crests and M ilvl vault from only M+. Just grind 7/8 for H ilvl, upgrade it, hit 9s and then 10s. Fill also with delve and raid gear if you can. I know most people doing 10s have some delve gear.

I suppose so…but the people struggling are coming into my yard im not going into theirs… I could go into 12s im sure but I hate spending gold on consumables for keys.
