I know last season by the time i unlocked to buy keys i no longer needed them
Keys were 2k last season too. When you got to the end of the delver’s journal, you got 50% reduction in the price of keys. Pretty sure that’s the second to last reward this season.

Also, Reno doesn’t sell keys, Finley does. (They’re not going to put Reno in charge of selling anything important, can you imagine?)

I haven’t really looked at it yet, but some world quests will offer coffer key fragments and the echos you can use can earn some of those as well for maybe an extra key or two a week (give or take). I know I left a giant stack of keys and echos rot last season because after a certain point they became useless. But this time around they will have much more value for longer.
