I know Blizz has tightened down on macros over the past few years, but was wondering if just having a key repeat would go against ToS? For example, if I were to hold 3 down it would be like it was spamming it – not much of a difference, but doesn’t make my hand sad lol
Yes, that would technically be against the ToS if you have an outside program do it.
BUT, its actually a built in feature now, somewhere in settings. Go wild.

At first that sounded great, but I turned on Press and Hold Casting, doesn’t seem to do anything

But yea, I wouldnt use any out of game macro or program for it. Warden will sniff it out.

Ah, I found why it didn’t work – I guess it is broken by default, but can be fixed with a command. Now it works!
This is what I found via Reddit;
for me the problem was that spells were casting on key up, not on key down, and press and hold casting only works if you first type this command found randomly on reddit:
/console cvar_default ActionButtonUseKeyDown

i literally pried the macro keys off my board.
yes, someone in here a few years back said he used the keys and got banned.
just remove the temptation entirely…
Use in game macros only. Dont get banned over this kind of thing
