Keybinding in Plunderstorm?

Can we really not change the keybinds for moving around? Having my a and d reset to turn and not strafe is killing me.

EDIT: You can keybind, but ONLY in the lobby portion pre match.

My basic attack was R and my heal was T.

Were those your keybinds too? I wasn’t sure if that was the default or if it was from the weird keybinds I have on my main character.

yeah, that’s the default.

You can change those in the Keybinding Settings. There is an entire separate section in the Keybinds for Plunderstorm.

I set my Basic Attack to RT, Heal to B, Skills to LB/RB, Utility Skills to X/Y.

I play with a Controller so I had no need to see if I could remap the movement though.

How do you remap the keybinds? I’m looking in the keybind settings and I don’t see a separate section for Plunderstorm. Just the regular settings.

for what ever reason, can only change keybindings in the waiting area and in a match, and only the 8 ability buttons

Ah, interesting. That sucks. Thanks for the info.

You gotta be inside Plunderstorm to see those settings.

Like, in the Waiting Room or in a match.

it’s silly. You should be able to see them at the character screen at the very least, but for some reason you can’t.

Beware if you use controller , KEYBIND changes effect the whole account not just the Plunderstorm. Was praying it was seperate but nope. Borked up my other controller functions in the main game /sigh. Thankfully had WTF backups to save me.

Enter Plunderstorm then change them.

Real talk here, without the ability to rekeybind easily, you leave out a LOT of disabled players who need certain keybinds to play on a keyboard. Blizzard, do better. You are really great for accessibility for the most part, but you are failing here big time and on a limited time event that probably won’t see more changes before it’s over.

Accessibility is so important and you are dropping the ball.

YUP. just logged into WoW proper and noticed this.

was afraid of this.

thankfully for me since I use Consoleport for the Controller UI, only one keybind was affected, and it has been fairly easy to get it back to the way it was.

bad look, Blizz.

I wrote a long complaint pretty much echoing these sentiments in the OG Plunderstorm post.

Just trying to watch a high-quality streamer play on full-screen is giving me a headache trying to see & parse the UI; it’s SO terrible, IMO at least.

I didn’t mention it cause I didn’t know about it before, but flexible keybinds are extremely important for me too.

I always get real nervous every Expansion that Blizzard will decide to nuke some kind of important functionality or UI API that I rely on to be able to play WoW properly.

You can change it.

Yes. Everything you said, especially this ā€œAs a Disabled Gamer, this event tells me that I am no longer welcome in WoW.ā€ WoW has been so accessible and has gotten better as the years have gone on by allowing addons that fix the gaps they have…until now. This game reminds me of something they had for a mobile game and refurbished it to a ā€˜limited time game mode’ instead of killing it all together. Like you said, it is very unwelcoming to disabled games and it’s sad that even hardened supporters like you and me will be left out because we cannot access it because we are disabled, not because of a choice we validly make. Putting tenders and game items in a mode locked to some paying customers is wrong.

I hope they understand that we are not bitter gamers on this, we face the inability to do things all the time IRL and gaming has always been the great equalizer when the games are accessible. I might not be able to walk or even feed myself IRL, but in WoW because of addons and keybinds and accessbility features, I have been able to raid heroics and do M+ 20s all day long like any other average gamer. My lack of mobility outside of the game never hinders me…except it does in this case.

Again, Blizz, do better. Think outside your box and think like those of us who need certain access to even have a chance at playing.

Has anyone found a way to rebind when you pick up a third ability and you need to tab to pick which ability to replace? Havn’t found that option anywhere, but was able to rebind everything else.

I played three lacklustre rounds and already getting carpal tunnel - devs need grandma to swat them on the back of the head for being idiots - preferably with calcite building material

Blizzard and new priole of this company just dont care… its that simple. Their not a small company and they produce half baked ideas from other Companies and also make it look like they didn’t copy them when they directly copied them. And don’t even know how to interact that game style into one of their games because, at the end of the day, blizzard is just looking for money and head count, they could care less who plays their game

I just taped a pencil to my index finger so I can reach the heal button.
