I have the world of Warcraft mouse that has extra buttons for keybindings and when i try and keybind spells button 4 and 5 are the only ones that work. 9 of the buttons don’t work. i was hoping there was a fix or maybe something i’m missing in settings. i go into key bindings, go to MultiActionBar click bottomleft action button 1 and then press one of the keys on the mouse and nothing happens. Unless i press button 4 or 5.
Howdy!
The World of Warcraft mouse was removed from the In-Game interface a long time ago but you can still enable it by using the following command:
/run SetCVar("enableWoWMouse", 1) DetectWowMouse()
On Windows computer systems you need to run Steelseries Engine 2 not Steelseries Engine 3. Steelseries Engine 3 does not support the Steelseries WoW mouse. If the issue continues and you have SteelSeries Engine installed try uninstalling it.
Addionally addons like, “Advanced Interface Options” has the ability to let you enable the World of Warcraft Mouse features.
Thank you.
So if i get this Advanced interface options addon will i not need steelseries engine 2 installed because steelseries engine 2 is not working, i wrote that command in WOW to and nothing happened.
Lurgron,
While it’s not our addon, players we’ve worked with have gotten some good success using it. We’ve got some investigations open on certain gaming mice having problems with the wow UI. Try giving the addon a test and let us know if it helps. We’re not familiar if whether it’s compatible with both Steelseries engine 2 and 3, but it’s worth a try.
