Key leavers, the final solution

if its gonna be a 3 strike system it needs to reset twice weekly or daily.

the time of the other 4 people dont matter. only my time matters. If you don’t know how to do the key or feel like youre undergeared list it as a completion run. I won’t leave those just because we wont time.

I wish more people understood that. In a PUG that I probably wont see again, idgaf about your time. Only my time is important to me.

Should a morbidly obese patient use a personal trainer that wants to punish him rather than help him?

Which is fine. So again. If it tracks that you leave but your score is high, people can chose whether or not to take you. If someone wants someone who is willing to put the time in they can wait for them.

Yeah I’m not keen on the system myself. I’ve done just over 300 keys this season across 3 characters, and assuming that I did leave 3 keys a week (I haven’t), I would have left what, about 10% of the keys I’ve ran, but if I ran, say, 50 keys, with the same number of leaves I would have left over half of my keys.

I posted something to the effect that I would appreciate a system that flags people who leave over X% of their keys in Y time period in a similar thread. I don’t even want people to be punished directly for leaving, but having a temporary flag that says “hey this guy has done 30 keys this week and left over half of them!” would be nice.

You realize this analogy is the reverse of what’s going on in this thread, right?

Funny coming from someone who has the word “Murder” in their name. But oh well.

Not sure why you replied to me, but it won’t affect me at all. I’ll simply stop pugging into lower io groups and wait on friends. I still get my vault, so no worries.

What does that have to do with my statement that the tank has the biggest impact?

If your morbidly obese and you’re looking for a personal trainer. You want a trainer who push you rather than baby you. Otherwise what’s the point.

Don’t mind this guy, he’s trying to derail this thread with references to something horrible that happened literally 100 years ago.

Eh doesn’t even need to be a flag as that will be an arbitrary number made up by blizzard. Just give total done and total left. Then let people make their own decisions for their own groups.

Because you quoted me?

Cool not sure how this is relevant to anything here…

Solution is simple gitgud

you never addressed my main point dog

But it is relevant. People will no longer be willing to pug lower keys or at all because now they could get shafted by the group leads possible shaky decision making. They’re unable to leave a lost cause because they’ll get a strike under OPs system, so why risk pugging?

Willing to bet almost anything I can tell you exactly how people like the OP were raised.

Lol what… You’re joining a low key, you shouldn’t be expecting perfection. Ive literally never done a low key with a friend and expected a perfect route. I go in with the intention of helping. Why even do a low key?

Don’t then? It’s your choice. That’s kinda the point. It’s your choice to join a key that you might leave. It’s your choice to leave. It should be the group’s choice to chose you based on that.

Eh. Ive been convinced penalties are bad.

At least try to time the key and give some constructive feedback if you are going to leave due to skill.

Like for example:
Use your mindflay filler more. CC or interrupt with omniCd the [troublesome mob] etc. I gotta go though, good luck learning.

I’ve done this for noobs leveling trying to run BFA dingeons. I usually give them 2 or three pulls each at the healer mobs or the runecarver. After I tell them who to cc/interrupt or where to stand. If they still don’t get it I say thanks for the group and boince.

Granted on a +10 you shouldn’t have to do any of this. Ppl should know what to do.

However if the difference of timing the dungeons is a time or +++ if you pull all the trash or some of it. Don’t just clown and bail. Time it and move on.

Why did you join if you just want to clown around? Some people invited you at the cusp of their ability and gear. You don’t have to give them any more of your time. It’s nice to give them atleast 10 minutes and 1 minute of text if you’re not on voice. Be a part of the solution. Not a part of the problem. You don’t have to lie, pander, or sugar coat it.

Unfortunately there are a lot of really rude ungrateful, hateful players pugging. Maybe ignore will cut down on those bad matchups. Im an old old MMO and quake and Team Fortress player. Old school counterstrike and UrT too. We helped ppl get good at practice. Ignoring was a good way to get kicked from clans etc. Ppl worked it out. If you where ignored kicked or banned it was pretty extreme. I’ll change my attitude about the ignore feature and give it more of a chance in WoW though I loath it.

To those with a bad attitude. I say get gud if you want to be part of a thriving community. Or just be mad silent and grumpy. That’s your prerogative.
