Key depletion needs to go away

I had a +5 Halls of Infusion key - I make group.

Even though they had some score and stuff, it was obvious that they didn’t know bosses well. We get to 3rd boss, the 3 DPS die to avoidable stuff ( floor effect, not hiding etc) - right after 3rd boss, a DPS leaves. Okay, whatever, maybe they were embarrassed they died to something stupid. So we do the trash to last boss which is kind of blah on fortified weeks. A DPS dies, leaves group. Okay we now have myself(healer) tank and 1 DPS. So key is basically dead at this point (have 10 mins left but only 1 DPS) so I leave. Now I have a +4 key for Halls of Infusion.

I have 0 desire to do the +4 key because I usually just run a +5 key a week for my vault. I don’t want to have to repush my key up, then do another key. So I join a +6 Freehold instead.

But like, the fact keys deplete - sometimes at no fault of our own (when people left my key, we were still on par to time it and everything) - now my key is basically ‘dead’ for the week. If I wanna do keys I want to do keys higher then a 4.

Your solutions are:

And

While it sucks that people suck (trust me, people in the 18-19 range still dont understand mechanics and think they can just bullrush their way through things), YOU did choose who you ran with.

I’m curious how those 3 DPS managed to live through Irideus but all died on Khajin.

They didn’t lol. But 2 of 'em lived almost to the end, me and tank finished both 1st and 3rd boss. 2nd boss went smoothly though

Join other people’s groups. Especially as a healer, why are you running your own key?

solution: dont pug.

Was a key I had no score for yet. Plus I hate trying to get into other peoples keys.

and you wonder why people dont invite people w/o experience even on low keys

M+ already rewards failing the timer, and still counts toward the Vault at the failed level. I don’t think we need to make it even less punishing than it already is.
