I honestly wish Gilgoblins were the ones paired alongside the Mechagnomes rather than Vulpera. It just seemed more right imo.
Vulpera should have been their own core race that went alongside Alliance Sethrak or something.

The whole idea.
At least ninety percent of the game takes place on land so no that is not a strong point.

Clearly they can breathe air seeing as the entire zone their featured in is not underwater. So I donāt see the problem with them being an aquatic race.
Infact as pict mentioned thatās one of their selling points. We have zero aquatic or reptilian races at the moment.
Gilblins can cover the aquatic end and sethrak (though I am admittedly less dedicated to that idea) can cover the reptile end.

It makes perfect sense. Reasons why:

Azeroth its mostly water. Just about every area in the game has some water nearby it. Even places like Uldum, durotaur and Voldun have water in them.

They can use armor to protect themselves.

They have shown they can live without water for a prolonged time and are even hanging out in Durotar.

Their strength is in what they offer the Horde on its coasts, boats and at sea.
So no, itās strong point.

While we are on the topic. Gilgoblins arenāt dumb. In fact its quite possible they werenāt created by Hobart either. They know engineering and numerous other professions despite being under extremely harsh conditions of the Naga. Are they are smart as goblins? Maybe not, but definitely as smart as the vulpera and most races. Especially when it comes to the seas.
Second thing is. We are asking. I know there is many people who would love to see this as a playable race and I think this would be an excellent race to be made playable.

Letās face it Hobartās brilliant but heās a few sprockets short of an explosive base if you know what I mean.
I think he pads his resume with whatever comes to mind.
Clear enough Gilgoblins and the Kelfin specifically are smart enough to survive and almost flourish against heavy opposition on their enemies doorstep. Gotta have skills for that. Plus they got muscle in those Sea Giants and Makrura.
They got what it takes to be Horde.
All we can do. None of us are Blizzard.
I aināt gonna be quiet about it. I want Kelfin and until Blizz says no Iām gonna keep on saying what I want to see.

I was kind of expecting to see Hobart when Nazjatar came out, but I am quite happy they hinted that he may not be their true creator. This gives them more individuality and the possibility of being just as smart as land goblins. Blizzard hasnāt forgotten about them also.
They are around.
Interesting thing to note. There is also sea giants in tanaris, but those have always been there. Its just one of those things that make me think. These guys would have made sense as the goblin AR.

Yep! They have been there since 8.3. They have no dialog when you click on them, but poen periodically goes in and out of the seas. Blizzard had to have put them there for some reason. Maybe they will be added as an allied race someday. However they may also be customization.

Its interesting that they are the only npc race we helped that showed up in BFA at a capital city.

Iāll be happy if we see more of them.
I think Blizzard needs to calm down on Allied Races of all types but theyāre definitely favorable to the Horde so they seem ready-made for it.

Jinyu or Ankoan
Sea Giants
Makrura
Gilgoblins
Some kind of humanoid sea dragon

Thatās awesome. Iām glad Blizzard hasnāt completely forgotten about them.
I honestly think they were planned to become an allied race at some point in BfA, but sadly got scrapped. Itās clear that there was supposed to be one more allied race pair in BfA. Thereās two more spots on the creation banner, and there is an empty space in both the Alliance and Horde embassies.
I really hope they get added in the future. I want them so much. 
I might be in the minority here, but i personally never wanted a Jinyu/Ankoan allied race. Mainly because they reuse the the Night Elf skeleton. I just feel like itās a bit overused.
