Im hitting r14 on my mage this Tuesday. Time to work on my tauren warrior next… whats the go to pvp build?
I know you asked Kefta but I’m gonna answer anyway, it depends on your gear,
for arms with a 2h https://www.wowhead.com/classic/talent-calc/warrior/053050213020105031-55000005005_116ws56vv66rx76vx86wk96wya6m6b7akc7c3f72y
, ideally bonereaver’s edge for high armor targets and swap to your biggest flat damage for anyone else, but you can run with whatever 2h you have (as long as it isn’t untamed blade, vendor that)
If you’re playing glad with a 1h and shield https://www.wowhead.com/classic/talent-calc/warrior/-55000005005-15205103030021251_116wv56vv66nj76mh86s296wya6mgc7c3f72z
,
the rest of the gearing is a bit more nuanced, i’ll leave that for kefta (mostly cause i havent pvp’d since aq opened and a lot has changed)
just dont, unless youre a masochist
Thanks Ikanaide.
@Abraian - Its all good. If I dont have fun I will just play something else. =P
No piercing howl? wut
What spec you using Grresh? Give me some recommendations. =)
Wait I didn’t even notice that, this was someone elses link and I fixed it not taking 5/5 enrage, why does it not have piercing either lmao, though as a side note, there used to be a use case for 2/2 execute 3/5 enrage with low gear but i dont think it holds up in sod

First off roll orc!! I’m telling you that stun resist is so powerful I would be atleast 20% more deadly if I had it. But besides that I’ll post a more detailed reply in a bit
I know Orcs are op but I already have an Orc Rogue and Shaman. Damn, now you making me rethink it. War already lv49. =)
What are the runes?
As per talking to Kefta often (he’s my discord bud), I hope he salutes the following build with runes. We were discussing Sanguist shoulder enchant/rune and using Taste for Blood over Endless Rage (which we used to use).
Edit: He might use Imp Hamstring now that I recall.
So I really do think orc is the way to go. Many rogues will just straight-up ignore you when choosing a target in middle of a battle because of the stun resist. Also, getting stuck in a boomkin or spriest RNG stun means their team can just blast into you while you’re stunned, but had you resisted that stun(s) there’s a solid chance you can just kill them all. I really do think orc is so strong, especially for warrior. Tauren health increase would have to be like 20% increase for me to consider it over orc.
This is the gear I like.
T1 Helm has +1% hit but the T2 helm does not so I think T1 helm is better.
This set up I loose about 900hp compared to running full PVP gear:
For a long time I rocked full pvp gear and just 2pc Coreforged (belt and bracers) but I fell in love with playing with 6pc coreforged.
From my testing you do about 30% more damage at the expense of 900hp and to me that is worth it.
The 4pc coreforged bonus makes lots of things possible. Sweeping strikes whirlwind is so smooth. Can sit in battle stance but still be able to zerker rage out of fears.
Here is what I do for talents and runes:
talents and runes
Nothing too special here, there are definitely some talents that can be switched for others. I do like imp hamstring for solo pvp but for bloodmoon play its not really necessary.
Prior to phase 7 I preferred endless rage helm rune and I NEVER used rend. However, in phase 7 I have switched to taste for blood helm rune and for shoulder enchant I use Sanguinist (the T2.5 4pc bonus) that gives you 20% damage when both rend and deep wounds are on a target.
The way I play most of the time I will wait until I have deep wounds up on a target and then rend them to get my 20% damage boost rather than always rending immediately for the taste for blood procs.
I end up using rend pretty early in the fight regardless because I have about 50% crit chance with the 6pc coreforged bonus and a elemental sharpening stone / mongoose potion.
Of the PVP weapons I do like the axe best. It does sim higher because of the way deep wounds works in SOD. and it also gets deep wounds on target faster so I can get the sanguinist buff by applying rend.
Thats all I can think of for now but let me know if you have any questions
Also, add me to discord my name is keftapvp. Same with you Grresh, add me on discord.
Damnit, I’ll start leveling that Orc warrior tomorrow morning. =)
I noticed a lot of warriors using 6pc core forged for PvP + either Sanguinist or Titans shoulder enchant lately. I’d like to try it out but with Ret Paladins routinely blasting for 4.5k-6k right now I don’t feel like getting practically 1 shot in world pvp. I already lost 800+ HP just from switching to Blade of Inquisition from HWL weapon and Blood Moon bracers/belt to Core Forged T2 bracers/belt for the Battle Forecaster Shoulder enchant and I can definitely feel it.
And Kefta I did add you on disc
Orc warrior is lv17. I need to get him to an invasion… lol
Bro but kefta said arms is fine and great and that if you disagree youre a noob.
How can you say that???
What? My stance on Arms is the same as it has been and hasn’t changed for a long time, its a bit under-powered but playable if you’re a good player and gear properly. Seal twisting Rets with Templar being broken and deleting everyone except some Shamans is its own problem and doesn’t change that. Its not Phase 1-4 anymore when warriors were NPCs.
You showed up on my youtube shorts last night, your awesome!!! Also inspired me to make a warrior!!! Keep up the good work
Thanks bro, respect
Disregard everything abralan says he’s been in a state of despair about warriors since wrath
