Wondering if I should keep this guy a Priest or go Mage, and if so what would be a good weapon transmog to go with the Heritage outfit? Right now on the Priest I’m using the T’uure, Beacon of the Naaru: Embrace the Void skin.

Void elves have cooties. Blood elf master race. 
I do like to use some void themed transmog on occasion. Affliction feels like more of an actual shadow mage to me than shadow priest.
I mean, yea but I just like the Void elf’s story. I’m a gigantic edgelord and I’ve always liked the idea of using the powers of darkness for good. That darkness isn’t just a force for evil.

Tbf sounds like priest is still the most applicable to your RP.
Priest for sure. Shadow Priest is one of the most flavorful DPS classes outside of Shaman’s specs.

I guess, and Xurael is one of my originals that I leveled to get Heritage. Maybe Blizzard will pull something like they did with Dark Iron, along with a bug that prevented only the first character to get said Heritage from acquiring the quest for the weapons.
I hope the next expansion is the Hauge.
