I agree make someone more expereince high king/queen why do we need a human male as leader for the alliance anyway. We can have some real diversity here blizzard. EDIT: Infact maybe a duo power queen and king would be nice

I say keep anduin but just shift away from stormwind being the most important military influence of the alliance.

Anduin’s a great character-- he just doesn’t cause enough conflict.

I am still of the mindset that the Alliance got robbed of what could have been a great story if Anduin wasn’t High King. Imagine this:

  • Muradin is High King and while he isn’t a warmonger he knows the Horde needs to be stopped and doesn’t think peace is possible. He believes the Alliance needs to do anything they can to win and stop the Horde. Many in the Alliance follow Muradin’s mindset, Genn, Tyrande, Alleria.

  • Meanwhile Anduin is just the King of Stormwind and he thinks that war is not the answer, that the Alliance should try to seek peace. This is where we get Anduin working behind the scenes, behind Muradin’s back to achieve peace, this is where he releases Saurfang and begins working with him. We would then have some Alliance leaders who side with Anduin such as Velen, Turalyon, Jaina.

That would have been such a better story than everyone following Anduin and licking his boots.

So you prefer a two dimensional placeholder like Turalyon over a character we have seen literally growing up in the game and developing over more than a decade?

“Majority of people” is such a not-thing, unless you magically know the opinion numbers.

Dwarves could actually have a great story if they stopped writing every dwarf as the same stereotype of a scottish man with the same voice actor.

Dwarves should be the backbone of the faction as the sole race to have not suffered an attempted genocide within the last 30 years.

Then I think you might have missed some of the stuff that has been revealed about his character over the last few months. There is some interesting and potentially dark stuff going on around Anduin at the moment and I think we will see him undoing a few strings on the old Hero of the Light corset he’s been wearing for most of his life.

Nah, Anduin is fine, he’s not a gary stu… in the slightest.

Undoubtedly so he can serve as the Alliance’s voice of reason character in the inevitable Light Bad expansion, with Calia being the Horde’s. Liadrin, Yrel, and Turalyon will presumably be raid bosses lead by AU Xe’ra.

I’m all for it, I just want it to be reflected in the game. Just… Alliance is really boring and needs a good shake up, lose some important characters, and just become deeper.

This is exactly what I fear. They added in Anduin using dark powers because he is going to find a way to balance the Light and Void so he can inevitably lead us against the evil Light users, and then later the Void Lords. biggest eyeroll
