Oh and donât worry blizz will inevitable bend to the power of no more factions eventually and just become a nothing special mmo. Then theyâll start throwing in things to buy and activision will milk it till itâs dead.
How can Anduin get away with something if he never does anything.
What consequences? What exactly did he do that requires consequences?
I would argue that focusing on rebuilding after the constant world-threatening attacks and wars forced upon him, strengthening the ties between the races of the Alliance and building up infrastructure and trade would be what a good king would do right now.
But instead people want him to either die, disappear or go all zealot and start smiting people for worshipping the wrong God or some crap. Which doesnât sound like what a good ruler would do.
Itâs not that Anduin gets away with anything so much as it is everyone else but him seems to suffer the consequences of HIS actions.
He sends his troops to Silithus and the Night Elves get annihilated by the Horde (granted Sylvanas tricked him), but still he made that decision and the Night Elves suffered for it.
Anduin sends a huge chunk of the Alliance army as a suicide mission to distract the Horde so they can siege Dazarâalor, which made no sense, the purpose was to destroy the navy fleet which they could have done remotely without attacking the city as the bombs were already placed. Anyways, all those soldiers sacrifice themselves only for Anduin to halt the attack after the Alliance retreats. They could have ended the war but Anduin was like, âNo, if we continue we will be no better than Sylvanas.â Mofo how??? Really?
So Anduin sacrificed all those troops for nothing. NOTHING. Oh, and now we know they got sent to the Maw to be tortured for all eternity and have their souls obliterated as they are turned into monstrosities and weapons for the Jailer.
Those are just two example of how Anduin makes decisions that cause consequences for everyone but him.
You might almost say some kind of military alliance? But why do that when the Alliance has traditionally been ruled by a single person, unlike the Horde! Pretty soon you wouldnât be able to tell the two apart!
Jaina is actually really boring now and Malfurion is boring they all are basically the same archetype. Now, if Tyrande went leader that would be interesting. Actually maybe Malfurion if he went the same as Tyrande. But Jaina, should honestly be in the background.
I mean, blind zealotry isnât exactly interesting. Itâs an overused trope, especially in this game, see Yrel, see Velen, blood trolls, Cult Of The Damned, etc, etc. Thereâs a lot more opportunity for drama/falling out among allies/nuance when disagreements happen with Anduin, than the usual blah blah Light blah blah the Naaru told me to because Light, imo. Even Velen started to get a little more interesting in Legion when he began to doubt, though youâd think heâd have had that epiphany ages ago.
And they really need to get a better VA for Turalyon. I couldnât believe a word out of his mouth, he had no genuine emotion and way too much exaggeration. Kind of like how every time Malfurion opens his mouth all I can hear is Space Ghost and a dude collecting a paycheck.
Yes and no, the problem with the Alliance is there is nothing being done with their alliances. A zealot would be a good wrench to mess up things and not like Velen who will eternally be passive. Who, honestly should have died in Legion with KilâJaden. They need thing to shake them up. Iâll take anything besides being passive.
Itâll probably sound like a cope out answer I get it, but itâs really just bad writting if you want to ever question the logic behind why any character does anything in WoW. Itâs like how the whole honor concept for orcs is entertaining and neat, but itâs mostly just used by the writters to make the orcs act like idiots.
I mean come on we had an entire expansion that was supposed to be about war between the two factions, and introduced the extended proudmoore family via the kulâtirans. There could have been a great moment where Jaina/Anduin or anyone with knowledge of Daelin proudmore could reflect of how the wars can warp someone even if theyâre doing everything for the correct reasons. But no we donât get any depth in the storytelling of WoW itâs just always going to be generic good guy vs bad guy.
I personally liked Turalyonâs VA in the audiobook they released Thousand Year War. Or whatever it was called, I thought he sounded really cool, then we heard his voice in-game and I was like ohâŠ
This is actually wrong. I remember the prepatch. The night elves sent THEIR fleet to Silithus, and then had to turn around and sail back. The Stormwind Fleet simply never made it to Teldrassil in time.
The purpose of invading Dazarâalor was to capture King Rasta and make him surrender. Removing the Zandalari from the war entirely. The king chose to fight to the death instead.
He ordered the Alliance to retreat because the only way to remove the Zandalari at that point really would of been âKill every last one of those trolls!â And yeah, thatâs Sylvanas bad.
Turalyon, Illidan, Jaina, Darion Mograine⊠No real lore reason, I just am a big ol fan girl of the voice actorsâŠ
ooh and Rexxar, almost forgot about him!
Yeah Rexxar has one of the better voice actors in WoW, never gets old.
Horde side did have a council that had been set up to keep the Warchief in check.
Guess who killed them and why?
When a leader/warchief goes rogue and kills the council meant to keep things balanced, said leader/warchief becomes a Tyrant/Dictator that people are afraid to disagree with because to do so would put their lives and the lives of their families in danger.
Banshee queen was no different than the Lich King and other leaders like them.
i mean did you pay the 5$ entry fee or did you sneak in again?
I vote that the Light fuse them into Turanduin -a half-Priest, half-Paladin pacifist with a temper and bias toward green people.
