Hello! very often when using robots in delves (both the pacifist rig and the goblin mr delver scenario robots) i get disconnected, sometimes i survive sometimes i die because of this.
Usually, this type of problem is related to addons or UI replacements.
Getting this myself as well as friend last night. My friend doesn’t use addons.
We’ll be fine can do a few bot controls then after a couple of them we get DC’d when the timer runs out.
Did they ever use addons? Maybe a leftover remnant is causing it?
Doubt it, but I’ll need to wait to ask them when I see them again.
If you’re still troubleshooting this, we may need to review some diagnostics like a DxDiag or WoW errors.
Okay, to make troubleshooting productive, they’ll probably want to make their own thread so some diagnostics can be gathered/discussed without alerting the OP here of every new reply.
yes i use addons, tried without them and it’s still unreliable plus it’t not worth the trade off. checked if there was an error log in retail\error but no logs from this year only older files.
honestly the best and most reliable class agnostic fix is staying put, i enter the robot find a good spot and dont move, dont jump or do anything, just stay put and think of it like some sort of flamethrower tower, because the error always happens when i’m moving and the mech timer runs up, jumping is a d/c for sure, same if im knocked by the spores or similar environmental effect while inside the robot and the timer runs out.
moving sometimes is safe sometimes not, specially if the surface is not “flat”, once i didn’t crash but i actually fell through the map in one of the slopes doing the sinkhole scenario so slopes/stairs are the biggest danger.
