Keep getting declined?

i am 100% ok with being insulted.

i just would like to know why i am getting declined for Pit of Saron +10? i have a timed run on +9 completed on that dungeon, so +10 should not be much if any harder.

So tell me, looking at my gear and profile, why would you decline me?

You’ll have a lot of people with 2x your rio score which makes it much harder for you to get into a group.

What Quinn said.

Also: welcome to be one in a sea of boatloads of DPS attempting to pug.

i have no idea what you mean by rio? The city? lol

Basically your m+ score. You’re at 1300 something. Everyone does a 10 because it is an easy way to get mythic gear. Often, their scores will be over 3k. So, it’s generally easier to pick them because they’re likely to not fail. Not saying you’re likely to fail, but when looking for DPS it kinda boils down to that.

RaiderIO. Abbreviated down to rIO most often.

huh, i pug quite a bit with my own keys and i only look at gear score and class, i could care less about their mythic score, could have been carried. Player skill > a number…oh well haha. Thanks!

and well if anyone out there is connected to my server, i would love to join a guild. No one talks in chat so hard to find a guild that would accept a poor old Arms Warrior.

I have 2x their io and still getting declined for +10 Pit of Saron :joy: It’s either tryharders wanting sky high io for a +10, luck (or a lack thereof) or just wanting a different class.

I don’t know anymore, just keep applying

Yea, but when you only have a few ways to judge who you’re going to take it’s difficult to know if the person is skilled or not. IO at least gives some indication.

I can help you to do a PoS 10

Need group Pit of Saron +10 need all (and i will need your key too)

The number shows a basic overview of their skill in those groups. That’s the point of it.

it’s like a fratt house in harvard, only members can be in the clubs of pugging saron

No it doesn’t. It’s an experience benchmark. It tells you nothing about their skill, just that they were part of a group that completed it successfully. If you want a basic overview of skill, you have to look at logs. You can infer that higher IOs will be more skilled, and while it’s a general truth, the number by itself is meaningless.

Fair enough. I wasn’t clear. When I think of scores, I think of parses and my tired brain just messed that up entirely when I posted. Apologies.

  • Someone with a higher IO applied.
  • Someone with lust, brez, cookies, or death grip applied
  • Someone with a cool name applied.
  • Someone with a higher ilvl applied
  • Low pop/unknown server

isnt that amazing it happened over 30 times i applied. well golly i just need to get a better name

I picked a balance Druid the other day because his name was a variation of “Dingle berry”. No other reason.

You have a single 9 completed
Tons of lower keys (2s and 6s) and havent even run all of the dungeons.

279 ilvl makes it look like you got your gear outside of dungeons (nothing wrong with that), so despite your gear, you havent shown any level of competency with dungeon mechanics or m+ in general

No lust
No tank / no healer
No battle rez
Lacking io for era/ilvl makes it appear like you’re bad at your spec (no idea if you are or not, just looks that way from the outside)

Etc etc
