For the last maybe month I have been randomly dcing from the game for no reason. I have excellent net in terms of speed and reliability and I can be just standing in town doing nothing or be in a dungeon and my screen freezes and i get a error code saying i dced. I am not tech savvy at all so I have no idea where to start figuring out whats wrong but has anyone else been experiencing this?
Lets start with a winMTR
- Download WinMTR
- Extract the contents of the .zip file to your desktop.
- Open the WinMTR folder, then open the folder that matches your version of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit) and run WinMTR.exe.
- Enter the IP address you want to test in the Host field. Select a game from the dropdown below for a list of IP addresses.
Note : If multiple IPs are listed, run a WinMTR test for each IP address. - Click Start , then launch the game you’re testing. If no connection issue is found in the first 5 minutes, restart the test.
- When a connection error occurs, play for at least 5 more minutes, then click Stop in WinMTR.
- Click " Export Text " and save the .txt file to your desktop. Name this file WinMTR.
- open the file above select all copy and past to this thread

what will that do exactly? will it see why wow dcs or my net?
It will show the path to blizzard. The path to blizzard consists of your isp~peering partner~~blizzard. Winmtr will check the connection to blizard
I downloaded it and i dont see a ip address in the drop down so idk what to do
edit: I then looked up what it was on google and it says unable to resolve host name now
I am also having a dc problem. All my PC drivers are up to date, just did a game scan/repair – all to no avail. My husband and I have the same type of PC yet he never gets dc’d. what gives?
You want to use this ip for tich 24.105.62.129
i hope i did the test right but i cant paste whats in the file here because it says i cant post links
Just put a + or - behind the .net like so:

also as a update it doesnt just happen on wow it happens on every blizzard game i play.
Based on those results it looks like the WinMTR test also disconnected while you were playing. And so that generally indicates that the computer lost connection altogether. This could indicate a potential issue with the router. Are you on a wired connection? If not I would start by moving to one to test.
The info here may also help.
If you have the option, we can also try testing with a different network altogether. If you have a phone and data plan that supports it, we can accomplish this by setting up a USB tether or mobile hotspot to connect through. In doing so, we’ll be able to bypass the router\modem as well as the routing provided by your usual service provider.
If this works, we’d also like to get the make/models of your modems/routers. The details will usually be on a sticker on the network device, or stamped onto the hardware itself. Can you reply back with that information as well?
