Which one to go? I googled about it and all I found are people are sharing his opinions just about lore. Talking about just gameplay, which one is better to go?
It is just a flavor choice and Legion will last 8 minutes in the current leveling timeline so it is pretty much a null factor.

Choosing Kayn gets you the Shade of Akama follower while Altruis gets you Akama as a follower later on. Not sure which is better for the mission board tho.
This was relevant 4 years ago. And it was not important back then. Seems trolling

Altruis. He is the closest thing that exists to an acceptable Demon Hunter.

There really isn’t any difference in gameplay other than some quest dialogue (if I remember correctly).
Altruis is a wishy-washy, whiny hypocrite demon hunter. Kayn actually can focus on leading…

Kayn is to the Illidari as Nazgrim was to his Horde oath; loyalty and honor above all else in the hopes everything will turn out for the best.
Altruis is the follow one’s own heart while telling everyone else that they are wrong.
I go with Kayn for all my Demon hunters because I just can’t like Altruis.
(this is from a RP stand point, it does not really matter, as others has said)

I mean we’re being released from the vault because the greater threat is the legion we need everybody since we are the highest ranking officer or whatever they’re ranking system is besides Illidan we should tell them to shut the frell up or I’ll kill both of you but they don’t have us do that
