Katherine Proudmoore and Jaina

What does Katherine Proudmoore think of Jaina being a permanent member of the Azeroth Avengers squad and constantly away from Kul Tiras/her duties and in warzones?

As Kul Tiras is a feudal kingdom with noble houses, shouldn’t Katherine worry that Jaina is pushing 50 and she still doesn’t have a child? Should she not try to betroth Jaina to some kind of fiancé nobleman?

Do you think that Katherine Proudmoore will visit Silvermoon in Midnight? Since, you know, Jaina will be handing out quests in Silvermoon come Midnight.

Your thoughts on this?

I think Blizzard loves the IDEA of kingdoms, but not the political realities that come with them. They would have never have the gal to say “And then Jaina remembered her actual duty was to go be a baby making machine, in the service of her family”.

To be honest none of these royal figures should be running around. It is like that because WoW is basically a high fantasy marvel comic book.

I would not be surprised if she abdicated in favor of Tandred.

You do realize that this just means Jaina will continue to be in the spotlight, right? As opposed to returning to Kul Tiras and making a family, like Malfurion and Tyrande, which would put her on a break.

Tandred is young enough to have children. Katherine needs to think of the lineage. That is the major plot of every royal feudal house ever.

You’re not very bright, are you? In fact you completely missed My point.

Jaina can’t be in everything. Blizzard is not that ignorant.

You really like to play with fire don’t you?

…did y’all just forget BfA? Katherine nearly gave up the Admiralty to Priscilla Ashvane, and would have done so had the player not revealed Ashvane’s treachery in the nick of time. Setting aside the fact that this is a fantasy world where anti-aging spells and all sorts of magical wonders exist, Katherine clearly doesn’t care that much about maintaining the Proudmoore family’s status as the leaders of Kul Tiras if she was willing to dispossess Tandred in favor of Priscilla. Jaina already did her part to secure the future of the Proudmoore family by bringing back Tandred and the fleet and protecting Kul Tiras.

Tbf she was being mind afflicted and tandred was lost at sea.

Tandred was missing, not presumed dead, but I get your point. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame her for that choice. That she was more concerned about the welfare of her nation than the status of her family speaks well of her priorities.

Which is why, given that situation, I don’t think she’d be particularly concerned about whether or not her daughter (who was functionally dead to her for more than a decade) has any children. If that were a major concern, then we would have arrived in Boralus to find that Tandred had a spouse and several children waiting for him to come back, as the duty of carrying on the family name would have fallen to him after Derek’s death and Jaina’s exile. Also, Katherine is well aware of the reason why Jaina is unmarried.

Naming her the Lord Admiral was a mistake, it should’ve been Tandred

The Avengers of Azeroth should not be given the topmost positions in their respective nations, as they would always be absent from their offices. Kings, Queens, Emperors, and other state leaders should stay within their palaces and rule, not go out and kill monsters

Jaina can do better then sit in a castle all day.

In fantasy settings, the leader normally takes the battlefield.

Her last love interest was a dragon and they seem to be in talks again, and I don’t think reproduction is possible, so She will eventually pass the role to her brother or a nephew.

Remember back in vanilla WoW when leaders were leading rather than trying to dive into adventures? You’d be sent out to do things by Thrall or Bolvar, and most leaders you only met by seeing them in their capital city, not from having them show up in the middle of a battle entirely unrelated to their lands.

For this reason alone i feel like they should have just had Tandred become the Lord Admiral.

But this is a problem with pretty much every faction leader, especially the human “royal” families. We almost never see any extended family (Cousins/Aunts/Uncles), almost none of them have any children and in many cases you have the threat of the family name dying off. Either because of no children or the only male heir dying.
