like i said show me my time invested isnt a waste and ill play much more. if i didnt have anything to do back in legion i would just spend the day working on alts. its how i had every class in 4pc tier and at heroic raid ilvl along with all the mage tower skins. i also did balance of power on every class. gimme something to show for my investment and ill make it
Why bother making the caverns if they’re designed to be visited once a week then?
They could have just had the Niffen dig up a burrow in the Forbidden Reach and saved development time.
Who cares? I mean really forced group content is what is killing the game.
Somebody is thinking back fondly to how many players farmed Pandaria world bosses for a decade on a massive army of alts, and how this was infinite free content for lazy designers.
Theory: After Shadowlands Season 4, and the entirety of the WoD expansion, devs realize that having repeatable open world content is essential to keeping WoW alive.
However, the devs have also made this constrictive promise of divorcing player power from the open world.
WoW players—even open world players and casual players—are motivated most by power gains. So we end up with the new zone just being a playground for cosmetics and achievements more than a main source of progression.
Some WoW zones and other assets are made years before they are actually used, and then systems (including rewards) are added in later. It is possible that this zone was developed before devs made the promise to divorce player power from the open world.
Did you buy the brontasaurus in BfA or the flying Light Armor in Legion? Blizz does this in every expansion!
