What will the new recommend item level for 11.2 zone content?
Didn’t we get like 640 catchup gear or something recently with the nightfall event? Honeslty I don’t remember. I know you could get champion gear from a few places now like the visions stuff and even champion or heroic if you 5 masked. But veteran gear should be raining down on most people at this point.
So based on all that, I’d assume 11.2 will assume most people are running around in at least 640+.
I would assume 640 to 658 will be good as an “entry level” given the Ilvl shift between seasons 1 and 2.
Zone (e.g. story) content?
Probably be tuned for whatever you have when you hit 80, and award S3 explorer / adventure gear.
Will anyone that played S2 and especially anyone who did midseason and further catch up content have much better gear?
Sure.
But the story content for a new season has never been tuned assuming players have champ+ gear from the previous season.
S3 raids, dungeons and delves though will assume S2 raid, dungeon, and delve gear.
