When you get the Xal talking toy, you learn why… she no longer works for Dimensius, she is a free agent trying to get other Old Gods to do her bidding for her via manipulation

Either that’s the funniest “oopsie” or the final phase takes place inside Azeroth itself.
I’m like 99% certain his “death” cutscene (we’re definitely not actually killing him yet) will be him unleashing void chaos upon Azeroth, plunging the planet into darkness and putting forth the events of Midnight
So it just feels fitting that while the fight maybe starts on K’aresh, Dimensius potentially teleports to Azeroth or something with his final moments, similarly to how Sargeras stabbed Silithus as his last act
or as others have mentioned, maybe part of the fight takes place within our minds or something. I always assumed “The War Within” was a double entendre for going deep below Azeroth’s surface & also looking inwards (especially for Anduin) to overcome our demons

Mists of Pandaria ended in Orgrimmar.
Warlords of Draenor had us fighting the Burning Legion in it’s final raid.

My true expectation was going to very center of Azeroth and meeting a infantile Azeroth. We would have to stop the Black Blood corruption and see meet the Earthen that were awaken. Each patch has had something that involved the BB and it being used as a weapon. Then all the Earthen lore with how they were created as servers, but ended up becoming aware.
These void Ethereum just appeared, and now the focus is being directed at them. It looking like Blizzard just pushing the story so Midnight can come sooner. Perhaps they decided to just jump the ship in the story?

This is tieing into midnight. First the nerubians who made a pact with xalatath, goblins dipping their greedy toes in the blood of an old god to weaponize it. Ethereal void stealing the dark heart. Now venari allying with locus walker. We were bound to go to karesh at some point.
the war within (your mind) because its the void. the void is known for getting inside your mind. n’zoth faked his death in our minds. its all one big void trip.

The war within… like the world soul. Going to K’aresh because of the stuff that happened to its world soul… seems pretty easy to follow.

Seems we will get a void themed DH spec and it also seems the Brokers are back. This new patch looks very much promising.
To be the end of the expansion, it can be but Who Cares? Dragonwokeflight and it is in Emerald Dream, Mop and is in ogrimmar, WoD is against with the Legion and WE ARE FREE so sometimes there were meaningless things, but it ends with is expansion and that is all.
